THE OVERCOMER

THE OVERCOMER || SUNDAY SERVICE || 16TH FEBRUARY 2025

Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: you are a son, not "a certain man", so stop naming the problem, take your place at the gate, occupy with capacity and shout like you know it is already done, "I am an overcomer."

Auto-generated YouTube captions (en-orig) of the whole Sunday at Streams of Joy Abuja, about eight hours and four services. Names, numbers and medical terms are reconstructed from ASR and marked where uncertain.

Summary

The whole day ran under one theme and one cry: "I am an overcomer." Each of the four services opened with prayer for an open heaven, a release of the power that raised Jesus from the dead and angels "that push down walls", then praise ("My Redeemer", "No weapon formed against me shall prosper", "I overcame, hallelujah", "Emmanuel has done it again") and a set of declarations "into our week" (Monday to Friday or Saturday), plus the 2025 call and response about El Roi, "the God that sees me". Over and over Pastor Jerry had the church shout "I am an overcomer" to their neighbours, to five, six, fourteen and finally twelve people (one for each of the twelve days left in February).

The first service read Mark 5:25-34. Pastor Jerry noted that a "certain woman" had issues, but the moment Jesus called her "daughter" she was made whole: the enemy keeps you thinking you are "a certain man", when in Christ you are a son with a Father ("I get Father"), illustrated by his NYSC camp story of following a rich friend whose driver came for him. She came "in the press behind" and laboured through the crowd like Epaphras labouring in prayer, so overcomers must press through. Virtue (dunamis) left Jesus, so the overcoming realm is a realm of power: "you cannot use I-pass-my-neighbour generator to power a seven-storey destiny" with five-minute prayers. "Go in peace" (shalom) means a mindset of "nothing missing, nothing broken". The second service read Genesis 2:7-25 and drew several principles. Your power to overcome is in your purpose: Adam was not dressing the garden when the serpent came. Watch the names you give things, because the serpent came back in Genesis 3 with the identity Adam gave it ("I refuse to give it a name"; "this is a week of new names"). The formed body cannot overcome, only the breath of God in you can, so inhale and exhale that life. And the help you seek is already in you as a "bone" (a word, an instruction) that God will build into your "Eve".

The third service read Judges 4:17-24. Sisera, a seasoned warrior, lay down and told Jael to stand at the door, and he died the moment he handed a woman the gate. "Who is at the gate?" Pastor Jerry charged fathers, mothers and workers to go back to the gates of their children, families and careers, because the devil "walketh about" and returns in cycles (one testifier's family lost someone every four years). Jael gave more than was asked (milk, not water), so give the devil more than he bargains for. The fourth service read Luke 19:11-27. The nobleman who was already doing well went to receive a kingdom: the overcoming mandate is dominion, not just doing well, and "occupy" means there is a vacuum you are anointed to fill. Desire to occupy needs capacity, and each servant got the same one pound. His citizens hated him: enemies are a gift that gives you unpaid feedback, so stop needing everyone to like you (Philippians 4:8). The servant who buried his pound lived in fear and did not want pressure, but pressure is what makes the local bird fly onto a two-storey roof.

Words of knowledge came in every service: liver cirrhosis reversed, fractured bones sealing, holes in the heart closing, siblings with haemorrhoids, a mother and elder sister with seizures, a tree worshipped in a compound to dry up in five days, polycythaemia vera, a tumour between the eyes and the chin, and a woman to be given the number one position at work. Testimonies included a woman appointed Rector of a Federal Polytechnic three hours after a word, a mother whose 12-year-old daughter's plot to burn down her school was foiled and who is now a top student, a missing father found, a lump on the back gone, a 20-year pattern of September deaths broken, a man freed from 12 years of cannabis addiction, a London grandmother whose brother, daughter and son-in-law were all revived, and a former Muslim who began to speak in tongues.

Each service closed with offering, the announcement of Monday and Tuesday's fullness of answers on NSPPD, and Psalm 91:1-2: "I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High."

Testimonies played / recapped

  • Kenny Ezekiel (name from captions): lost her mother (hydrocephalus with a shunt) in a dark 2021-2023 season and was rebuilt through the word. After meeting Pastor Jerry in person on 27 January 2024 her business turned around: proposals that were always praised but refused began to be accepted. A friend, Moses, told her on a Monday in October that his mother needed surgery. She sent the report to the altar, and on Friday 18 October at 7:43 a.m., 1 hour 11 minutes into NSPPD, Pastor Jerry named the condition (caption "cranel find Jia", possibly craniopharyngioma). The blurred sight and constant headaches stopped that day and had not returned as of this morning.
  • New Rector of a Federal Polytechnic: she applied to head her institution in November 2023 and met petitions, mockery and schemes to keep her off the shortlist. Words she held on to: 8 October 2024, interview day, 51 minutes in, "I will fight for you and you will hold your peace" (she came first of 18 shortlisted); 29 November, "why are you afraid?"; 31 December, an answer to her prayer of the night before, "your case is different"; 2 February first service, "a new letter is written for you". On 4 February around 8 a.m. the word was "in three hours... a new garment without protocol". At about 11 a.m. she was called: the President had approved her appointment as Rector.
  • Tiffany's mother: her 12-year-old had read early but declined over five years, with constant calls from school, stealing a cake she is allergic to, and changes of school. She played "Oh Lord Show Me Mercy" over her nightly and brought printed pictures in December. The following Monday the school called: her daughter and three others had planned to set off the gas cylinder, the generator and a classroom, with over 300 children inside. One child cried and the plot was uncovered before anyone was hurt. Next morning the word was "the child you are concerned about... it is settled". In a new school she is now one of the best students, with strong December results across 14 subjects (caption "11 F 3 p no a no b no C", exact grades unclear).
  • Jeremiah Esther: came to fulfil a vow to testify at the Abuja altar after graduating at last after six years. Her father went to church in Umuahia and did not come home; he was reported to the radio and police. After the Tuesday NSPPD declaration that loved ones taken away were being released, he was found on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
  • Gan, from Lagos (age 41): stopped going to church after losing her parents (caption says 2003). In November 2024 she was "arrested" through NSPPD playing on her sister's phone and began speaking in tongues. She completed her first ever 21-day fast and now joins all four online Sunday services. A lump on her back for two years had numbed her left side, arm and leg. During the conference prayer for lumps she felt tingling; two days later it was gone, and her son confirmed it.
  • A 20-year pattern broken: her uncle (20 September 2008), elder sister (22 September), mother (19 September) and another sister (19 September) all died mysteriously, four years apart. Four years on, her daughter's caesarean on 14 August left blood in her abdomen in Yola. She dreamed "this sickness is not unto death" and heard Lazarus prayed the next morning. After a major operation (fluid in both lungs and around the liver), four days in ICU and a word for those in ICU, the daughter left ICU the same day. The wound then leaked. A second surgeon found no fistula, she prayed with the mantle, and in a dream was told to pray Psalm 12. The wound dried up and healed; mother and baby were in church.
  • Joshua: 12 years addicted to "colorado" and "loud" (cannabis), known as "Daddy Colos" and also a dealer. He walked in on the last Sunday of December after years of seeing the signpost, received a Bible as his prayer request, and since late January has had no craving and new friends. With no guarantor he was given a security job, one week on, one week off.
  • A grandmother from London: her elder brother collapsed on a flight home for his surprise birthday (caption "turning 90"), was pronounced dead by five doctors, and revived about an hour later. In July 2024 her daughter delivered, then fell into a coma twice while NSPPD was playing in the next room, and recovered. On 8 September 2024, watching online, she went "mad in the spirit", prayed and hugged her daughter and son-in-law. Seconds later he collapsed; he was revived before the ambulance came and the hospital found nothing. Her business had collapsed since January 2024. She retrained, went back to an old client, and went from zero to 77 clients in one day. Her fast ran to 40 days, ending Friday, and she flew in to break it at the altar during the singles meeting.
  • A mother: her daughter's night-time ear pain stopped the moment she dropped anointing oil in, after hearing a similar testimony. She herself is diabetic with two open wounds after surgery on 28 November. She wrote "every open wound closed" for the Lagos conference and Pastor Jerry said it: the first wound closed. Last week he said it again and the second closed.
  • Aisha Muhammad: born a Muslim. A friend had sent her the NSPPD link; she found it again on Instagram in December 2024. She dreamed "when God is close he wants his instruments closer" and had encounters in prayer. During the Lagos conference on the 7th, at home in Abuja, she cried "Jesus, I'm yours, take me" and danced and drummed (her sister recorded it). On the Friday night replay, when Pastor Jerry said to put a mantle on the head, she began to speak in tongues. She asked for prayer as she makes the change.

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

  • First service: liver cirrhosis reversed; fractured bones sealing up; "drop a mantle in the hands of someone"; "step into the nations and take the treasures"; a spirit of death hovering to take two people in a family at the same time, broken; numbness around the head reversed; holes in the heart sealed; what was taken and given to another restored; "your mistake will not work against you"; "between now and Wednesday morning" receive the evidence.
  • Second service: "In 48 hours the Lord will do for you what you never thought will happen this soon."
  • Third service: not first to sixth, but the number one position at your workplace; elder sister and mother having seizures, reversed; the key of a territory handed back; all your siblings suffering haemorrhoids, reversed; consistent dreams that your husband died, "nothing will happen"; a cough that refused to go; years ago you were buried for two minutes, that covenant broken; a tree worshipped in your compound to dry up and fall in five days; demonic diversion broken.
  • Fourth service: repeated rejection ends next week; a siege over the male members of a house broken; highly demonic dreams broken; "the crown the Lord gave you will not fit another head", a supernatural relaunch and an announcement coming. During the offering: multiple fractures; itching all over the body until it bleeds; liver cirrhosis; loss of erection for two years restored; a tumour between the eyes and the chin; women dying between 45 and 55 in a family; polycythaemia vera (caption "poemia Vera"); every car accident reversed; a job they could not reach you for and gave to another, "this week they are calling you back"; a spirit spouse's ring broken; "a great sound of joy shall be heard in your home".
  • Last service close: "Your name will come up in a high place... a king will speak to another king on your behalf... this is the week you say the battle has ended."

Important message

  1. You are already an overcomer. "Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world." Your status was certified the day you were born again; the victory is the finished work of the cross, which must become your mentality, your behaviour and your confession.
  2. You are not "a certain man", you are a son. The woman was "a certain woman" with issues until Jesus called her daughter. Remember who begot you more than where you were born: "I get Father", and he will not let you see shame.
  3. Overcomers press through and are not hidden. Being called an overcomer does not mean nothing will block you. Press through doubt, fear and the crowd; nobody overcomes and stays in obscurity.
  4. The overcoming realm is power. A seven-storey destiny cannot run on a five-minute prayer. Grow your power base.
  5. Your capacity to overcome is in your purpose. Adam was away from his assignment when the serpent came. Losing sight of your purpose is already declaring yourself defeated.
  6. Watch the names you give things. What you name in chapter two comes looking for you in chapter three. You have a cold, you are not sick; you have a financial challenge, you are not broke. God is a name changer.
  7. Only the breath of God in you overcomes, and help is already inside. The formed body cannot overcome; feed the spirit and exhale the life you inhale. God put a bone, not a whole Eve, in you: a word, an instruction, an idea he will build into your help.
  8. Take your place at the gate. Sisera died the moment he told someone else to stand at his door. The devil walks about and returns on the same circuit; if nobody is at the gate of your children, family and career, cycles repeat. God withholds rain when there is no man.
  9. The overcoming mandate is dominion, and it needs capacity. Not just doing well but dominating your industry; "occupy" means there is a vacuum you are anointed to fill, but the church must not be mocked for having favour and no capacity.
  10. Enemies are a gift, and pressure makes you fly. They give you feedback you never asked for; stop needing to be liked. The servant who failed lived in fear and refused pressure; God's pressure is fuel, not rejection.

What he asks of us

Today / this season

  • Release faith, even mustard seed faith, so the word profits you; aim to hear "a word that changed me", not just "a good word".
  • Press through in prayer, and stop powering a great destiny with five-minute prayers.
  • Keep the mindset "nothing missing, nothing broken", whatever the devil points to.
  • Refuse to give the problem a name. Reverse any wrong name you have spoken over your children, career or body.
  • This is a week of new names: lay hands on your children, yourself, your ID card and every proposal and release new names over them. Spend 30 minutes calling yourself by new names (for example "the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus", "the territorial champion", "the one whom the nations will obey") and write them down.
  • Feed your spirit more than your body after the fast. Exhale what you inhaled in church at your office and in your estate.
  • Lay your hands on your belly and pray in tongues to call forth the "Eve" for which you already carry the bone. Ask God to open your eyes to the right word and instruction.
  • Go back to the gate: restart the weekly fast for your children, pray over your career instead of relying only on hustle and connections, and do not abandon loved ones you are offended with.
  • Give the devil more than he asks: do not just avoid sin, become a rescuer of those caught in it.
  • Start doing big things. Ask God at night what authorisation, insight and revelation you need. Build capacity: open books and read, update your knowledge and relationships.
  • When you are tempted to worry for change, speak in tongues for 15 minutes a day for 7 days and expect an idea.
  • Let go of the need to be liked; think on Philippians 4:8 things.
  • Document your testimonies, and send them in (testimony forms at the inquiry desk).
  • Give offerings, tithes and partnership; support the church building project.
  • Walk up to 12 people and shout your victory, one for each day left in February.
