OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY

Day 3 of "The God That Answers by Fire" was a Wednesday "Oh Lord show me mercy" morning. Worship opened on Hebrews 11:6 ("we know You are the rewarder of those who diligently seek Your face; all power is in Your hands, with You nothing is impossible") and the house refrain "What You cannot fix, what You cannot do, what You cannot solve does not exist." A recorded recap from Pastor Jerry then retold two wonders from three weeks earlier: a woman confirmed clinically dead who came back to life five minutes after the prayer ended, once her daughter had turned up the phone volume beside her at a word of knowledge; and a brain cancer patient who answered his wife's call hours after surgery and then stood up from the stretcher while the staff were removing a window to move him out of ICU. "We are in a season of a revival of the strange acts of God."

The mercy cry built in waves. Pastor Jerry called on El Roi, "the God that sees me," and on God's "manifold mercies" that did not forsake Israel in the wilderness. He set mercy against every human resource ("where my strength has failed, where my intellect has failed, where friends have failed, where time has failed: mercy") and used the ark of the covenant: the mercy seat was placed above everything in it, so "let mercy rise above my failures, above what they said, above their cancer, above their conspiracy." Then the God of our journey: like the man going from Jerusalem to Jericho, left for dead, he asked for the Good Samaritan's oil and wine to set people back on the road, and for turnaround, bouncing back and restoration of the years the locust ate. The day's cry, in his words: "Oh Lord, show me mercy."

Words of knowledge followed, each closed with "If you are the one, put it on the live stream. The devil is a liar. By the mercies of God, let it be reversed." They included a hormone imbalance blocking pregnancy, a second terminal disease after surviving a first, cancer of the omentum, a damaged right eye, two children who began having seizures on the same day, intestinal and bone marrow disease, thyroid and breast cancer, and lupus. One long word went to a woman newly on the platform, suicidal, who had lost her husband and two children on the same day: "I see you... this is not how your story will end... I will not leave you nor forsake you." Pastor K then made a mercy declaration on Jacob ("I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies"), and Pastor Jerry closed the prayer with Bartimaeus, Mephibosheth, a decree of evidence "before 6 p.m. Nigerian time" and within 48 hours, and a string of "operations" (restore, stop the Midianite, revelation and direction, divine makeover, congratulations, new wine).

The testimony reel was dominated by inanimate objects that started working after the previous days' declaration: tablets, a vacuum cleaner, a blender, a laptop, a ten-year-dead microwave and a broken phone, a dishwasher, an electric kettle and a TV. Then three larger stories: Pastor Mercy, barren for 13 years with adenomyosis and multiple fibroids, delivered a baby girl; Rea in Germany, whose husband Wesley's lymph node came back free of malignancy after a word on 22 January; and a mother told her unborn child had no brain, whose daughter was born healthy and is now the smartest of her children. Pastor Jerry laughed at the nurse who asked "what went wrong" and said she should have asked "what went right."

The service closed with three communions, the salvation prayer, the Nigeria conference announcement (7 February), a Psalm 91 declaration and six "congratulations," the seventh held back for tomorrow when everyone should bring someone to the altar.

Testimonies played / recapped

• Recap from three weeks earlier: during the 7 a.m. prayers Pastor Jerry said someone was beside a dead woman and should raise the phone volume beside her. The mother had been confirmed clinically dead hours before. When the prayer ended she did not wake and the family felt God had disappointed them, but five minutes later she came back to life. (A later testifier refers to a woman in Australia raised on this altar.)
• Recap, brain cancer: a husband operated on for brain cancer; doctors said sensitive areas were touched, he would not regain consciousness for six months and might never walk. The wife answered "What God cannot do does not exist," was reported to the brother-in-law for her behaviour, then called his name in ICU hours later and he opened his eyes. While staff removed the window blades to take the stretcher out, he stood up.
• Tablets: three tablets bought two years ago, two dead after two months; put on charge after the declaration and both work.
• Vacuum cleaner: dead since November 2024 and boxed in the garage; "El Roi who sees me has seen you," and it works.
• Blender: packed away for about two years (testifier says "today is Tuesday"); works.
• Laptop: stopped on 6 May 2024; started working.
• Microwave and phone: a microwave dead for about ten years now runs; a phone with a broken screen that would not charge charged to 100%.
• Dishwasher: dead six months; a night-shift worker joined with an Ethiopian colleague, said "there's a promo going on," and it worked.
• Electric kettle: turned on on 28 January to see if it would work before selling it; it worked.
• TV: killed by a thunderstorm a month earlier; turned on after the testimonies and it works.
• Pastor Mercy: married 13 years, diagnosed with adenomyosis, multiple fibroids and an ovarian condition (caption "ovarian ces"), ridiculed as a pastor who could not pray for her own child. Introduced to NSPPD by her mentor Mr Anderson in 2023; became serious in 2024, did the 21-day fast and followed every instruction. Conceived, had a smooth pregnancy and delivered a baby girl whose name means "it is God that gave me" (name unclear in captions). Thanked Pastor Jerry, Pastor Eno, Pastor Ogu and Pastor K.
• Rea (Germany): husband Wesley had a 10 cm kidney tumour removed with the kidney on 21 November, with metastasis found in both lungs. A second operation on 20 January opened the right lung for a lymph node; if malignant, the left would be opened too. She joined through a friend from church and kept the 21-day fast. On 22 January Pastor Jerry said "cancer of the lymph node, let it be reversed"; two days before the testimony the doctors reported no malignancy.
• Mother of the healthy baby (name unclear, caption "an noo"): fibroids during pregnancy; served at the NSPPD UK conference in June and tied her service to it. In September a scan and MRI said the baby had no brain and would be severely disabled with multiple seizures, and she was told to terminate near 30 weeks. She refused, played "Oh Lord show me mercy" around the clock, fed the child communion, and held on to a word on 22 September around 7:20 a.m. about a baby 5-6 months along not forming well. Put on high risk with secondary high blood pressure; refused early delivery before the 23 December due date. The baby "came praising God in the theatre," is healthy, never spent a night in hospital, and at one year old is "the smartest among my children."

• "Let me not be ashamed": you will not be ashamed and your enemies will not triumph over you; "when they thought the end had come, suddenly there will be a turnaround."

1. This is a season of a revival of the strange acts of God. He raises the dead, reverses surgical prognoses and even wakes dead appliances; "what God cannot do does not exist."
2. God is a Father who does not give stones for bread. A delay of five minutes after the prayer is not a refusal.
3. Faith is now. The wife who said "my faith has risen" acted on it within hours of surgery, and the answer came while she was still speaking.
4. Mercy, not strength, is the way out. Horses, bows, swords, intellect, friends and time can all fail; God saves by mercy, and His mercies are manifold and new every morning, not "a God of one mercy."
5. Mercy sits above everything, as the mercy seat sat above the ark: above failures, mistakes, infirmities, reports and conspiracies.
6. He is the God of our journey. Where the enemy beat us and left us for dead on the road, He pours oil and wine so we rise and travel again; our times are in His hands.
7. Mercy reopens closed chapters. Every chapter closed in shame, pain or hopelessness gets a glorious new one, and "it shall not end the way the devil planned."
8. When the Lord is kind, He becomes your legs (Mephibosheth); mercy rewrites what men called your deficiency.
9. Seriousness on the altar pays. Pastor Mercy's breakthrough came when she became serious, and the report that does not match the outcome means something "went right."
