5 DAYS OF WONDERS AND PERFECTION]

Monday opened "5 Days of Wonders and Perfection", the last week of the 21-day fast. Worship set the tone with "we know You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You... all power is in Your hands" and the refrain "what You cannot do does not exist". Pastor Jerry opened by recounting two wonders from three weeks earlier. During the 7am prayers a word of knowledge told someone sitting beside a woman just confirmed clinically dead to turn up the phone volume and place it beside her. When the prayer ended nothing happened and the daughter felt God had disappointed them, but five minutes later the mother came back to life. In the same season a wife whose husband had brain cancer surgery was told he would be unconscious for six months and might never walk. She answered the doctor, "what God cannot do does not exist", called his name a few hours after surgery and he opened his eyes; and while the staff were removing a window to get his stretcher out of the ICU, he stood up on his feet. He called it "a revival of the strange acts of God".

The first prayer movement was Lazarus. The Lord has already raised your Lazarus, he said, but Lazarus must move from where he is to where you are; if he stays bound in the grave clothes "it will be as good as nothing happened". The congregation shouted "Lazarus is awake! Loose him and let him go!" against whatever affliction, system or structure was holding it, and he asked for evidence of movement before 6pm Nigerian time.

He then turned to Pharaoh in Exodus 1. The more Egypt afflicted Israel the more they multiplied; Pharaoh told the midwives to kill the male children because he was after the seed carrier; and a Pharaoh who knew not Joseph turned Egypt, the place of rest, into a place of bondage. The declarations: what they brought to stop you will make you multiply; you will meet destiny helpers who midwife your new season, and any midwife raised to kill your vision is uprooted; your seed of prayer, of the Word, of the journey and of expectation will not die; "my place of rest will not become my place of battle"; and "no new day will take me back, I am not going back". From Genesis 26:13 everyone put their own name into "and the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great".

The pivot of the day was Exodus 7:1, "See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh", joined to "ye are gods". He had the people lift their right hands and say "I am a god unto you" to cancer, rising and falling, family cycles and patterns, failure at the edge of breakthrough, sickness, addictions, demonic oppression and bondage, and command them to bow. Then the Song of Moses ("the horse and the rider He has thrown into the sea"), Psalm 66:12 ("You have brought us to a wealthy place, your tears will not be wasted"), Revelation 3:8 (an open door no man can shut), and a promise that what has never happened in your life will happen "between now and Friday" in front of those who despised you.

Words of knowledge followed, then Psalm 79:11 ("according to the greatness of Your power preserve those that are appointed to die") over careers, businesses, families and lives, and Colossians 4:12 on standing "perfect and complete in all the will of God", not some of it. People mentioned their seven areas of perfection and the things they never want to see again. After the seed of thanksgiving and the decree "the God of Wonders is already at work", three video testimonies played: a Manchester boy healed of adenoids, a daughter who survived a shooting and coma, and Esther from Cameroon who married within weeks of a word and saw her husband give his life fully to Christ. The salvation prayer, three communions, the Lagos conference notice and Pastor K's remarks ("I am a god unto cancer: it is a mind shift") closed the service.

Testimonies recapped in the opening

• Mother raised (3 weeks earlier): word of knowledge during 7am prayers about someone beside a dead woman; her daughter put the phone on loud beside the mother, confirmed clinically dead hours before. Nothing happened when prayer ended; five minutes later she came back to life.
• Husband after brain cancer surgery: surgeons said they could not avoid sensitive areas; he would be unconscious for six months and might never walk (later: not stand for a year). The wife kept saying "what God cannot do does not exist", and the doctor asked the brother-in-law to warn her. A few hours after he was moved to ICU she called his name; he answered and opened his eyes. While staff removed the window blinds to take the stretcher out through the window, he stood up.

Testimonies played

• Manchester, father (name unclear in captions): son had adenoids, breathed only through his mouth, surgery postponed because he had eaten. They went to Pastor Jerry's meeting (caption "twam August", place unclear); the father had promised the boy he would be healed and prayed "don't let me look stupid in front of these children, I have boasted with Your name". Next day the boy breathed through his nose. His brother, a doctor, doubted; three separate GPs over several months found nothing blocking. The boy said "we have to testify."
• Mother, first daughter shot: in a coma, refused by the first hospital, ICU on life support; prayed through on the platform with her niece. The wound was found closed; one morning the girl sat up and opened her eyes after weeks unconscious. Pellets were lodged across her face and head; doctors warned about her eye. During prayer the pellets "melted" and fluid poured out of her head until the headaches stopped. The first day back at university she fell on the stairs and split her head again; the mother poured communion water on it and the wound sealed before her eyes. Her arm now lifts, the eye has settled, and she has her speech back.
• Esther, Yaoundé, Cameroon: a 42-year-old single mother of two who came to Abuja broken in February the previous year (arriving around an NSPPD conference; caption unclear) and stayed 10 days. She heard the word over single parents and women in their 30s to 60s receiving husbands. Back home, a man she had met abroad, who once wanted only a girlfriend, proposed and fixed the wedding 13 days out; she prayed God scatter it if it was not His will. Pastor Jerry's word "nothing will go wrong at the moment of your breakthrough" held against a family pattern where aunties said none of them would marry; those aunties attended. Her husband, who used to go to both church and mosque, now watches NSPPD with her, left the mosque after a similar testimony, and prays from midnight to 4 a.m.

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

• Someone whose surgery has become complicated (caption "blood surgery", possibly brain surgery).

1. We are in a revival of the strange acts of God. What God cannot do does not exist, and no longer will people ask "where is your God?"
2. Your Lazarus is already awake. What you prayed for is done, but it must be loosed and move from where it is to where you are; a miracle left bound is as good as nothing.
3. Affliction makes God's people multiply. Pharaoh targets the seed carrier, so guard your seed of prayer, of the Word and of expectation; it will not die.
4. A Pharaoh who forgets Joseph can turn a place of rest into a place of bondage. Your place of rest will not become your place of battle, and no new day will take you back.
5. God has made you a god unto Pharaoh. You do not bow to cancer, addiction or family patterns; they bow to you.
6. God perfects what He starts. Be perfect and complete in all the will of God, not part of it.
7. The most dangerous season is after the fast, when the devil makes you lukewarm. You do not know the time of your visitation, so do not take a break from the altar.
8. When you follow God, don't make your Bible small; be unashamed of the gospel.
