THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL - PART 5

Thursday Word & Fire, part 5 of "The Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail", in Streams of Joy Abuja's new auditorium. The first stretch was worship ("I can see your faithfulness", "You do mighty things, you do glorious things", "Great are you, Lord", "There is no one like you") and an opening prayer of thanksgiving: God does exceeding abundantly above what we ask, this is the Lord's doing, he causes us to triumph, he lifts our head, and Psalm 103 was prayed through (forgives, heals, redeems, crowns, satisfies). The house was told to pray in the Spirit from the heart, because a prayer can be spoken and still not be effectual. Job's cry was turned into a personal prayer: I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, cause me to see you tonight. Hannah's story became the demand, "I have heard the testimony of Peninnah, but give me my own", and the pool of Bethesda became the action: when the angel stirs the water, "I jump in and I am made whole."

The fire session treated the remaining days of the year as an evil day that must not prevail. The church put on the whole armor (Ephesians 6), redeemed October, November and December by the blood, and declared itself a prevailing generation: more than conquerors, and the counsel gathered against them will not stand because God is with them. An evil day like the day the Shunammite's boy cried "my head, my head" was refused over work, family, health, children and business. The new-season declaration was a new name: no longer Forsaken or Desolate, no longer "the sick", "that man with cancer", or "that man that is depressed"; Jacob becomes Israel, Sarai becomes Sarah, and Abraham receives a name. In the order of Bartimaeus, old garments and the old identity were thrown away because Arroi is calling each person by name into the new season. With fewer than three days left in October, the posture was Jacob's: "I will not let you go until you change my name", asking for early evidence, last-minute answers and a reintroduction by fire as October becomes November. The day's cry, shouted again and again: "The gates of hell did not prevail. I hear my name on a higher level."

Anyone who vowed they would not cross, in the order of Pharaoh, was called a liar, and the tokens of liars were frustrated. Contrary voices speaking against the new season were scattered. Acts 23 was read over conspiracies: more than forty men bound themselves not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul, so anyone ganged up against you, your loved ones or this new season is to be stopped before they stop you. Acts 14 followed: Jews from Antioch and Iconium stoned Paul and dragged him out for dead, the disciples surrounded him, and he rose. The church turned in a circle and surrounded finances, career, children, name and favour with "Rise again", standing at Mount Zion with the cloud of witnesses rather than at the mountain that could be touched. "It shall still happen in October": the email, the SMS, the phone call, the approval, the recommendation, the proposal, the baby. Three days was called too long. "By this time tomorrow I carry my evidence." The man leaning on the king and saying it shall not happen was answered with fire, in the order of 2 Kings 7, and John 6 was claimed: the moment Jesus entered the boat, they were at the shore. Minister Judy Kay then led praise ("chain breaker, mountain mover, way maker, impossibility shatterer"; "the word of God never fails"; "have you seen the Lord fail?"). She greeted Pastor Jerry and Mama Eno (caption "Mama Anna").

Pastor Jerry's word was one verse, Matthew 9:17: new wine goes into new bottles, and both are preserved. New wine, once poured, ferments and rises, so a new thing God has started in this new auditorium cannot stay at the level where it started. People who gauged your finances, strength, age, intellect and contacts should get ready, because supernatural incubation makes the wine reach the top: "My new wine is rising." An old skin bursts, so a new thing cannot stay in an old environment, an old container, an old relationship or an old association. Whatever would limit the new, spoil it or sabotage it, "today I take you out." As the wine increases it stretches the skin: the container does not decide the quantity; the quantity decides the capacity. Increase is not in looks. It is what God has put inside, treasure in an earthen vessel, so the excellency is of God. The wine of consecration, prayer fire, devotion, worship and study of the word was commanded to stay fresh, and with that freshness comes a stretch to the east, the west, the front, the back and all around.

He closed the picture at the wedding in Cana. Before Jesus made the new wine, the old wine finished, and Mary knew they had none. When the new is about to come, something of the old leaves, and where a person is stuck on the old, God lets it go: the block, the unanswered call, the dislike, the names they call you. "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth." Walking into this house on the threshold of 2027 is a divine setup. Things will happen so fast the head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of another, blessings wherever you look. The prayer was, "The old has finished. Let the new step in." For every wine there is water: Jesus told them to bring water, and the wine you want requires the washing of water by the word. People may think the declaring of that word in the office or the meeting is a joke. Give it a little time: the same water becomes wine, as with the woman at the well and the call on the last day of the feast. In the culture that made the wine, the grapes were pressed. A season of pressure, where what used to be easy now comes with squeezing, is how the Lord presses out the best. "My Father, press it out. I am ready." The verdict of Cana is what they will say: you kept the good wine until now. "There is a newer version of you." They will know you have seen the God who sees you.

The close was a wave offering of tithes, offerings and partnership, the calendar through 2 November and on to December, a blessing of newness, helpers, the email, fresh fire and higher ground, Psalm 91 with both hands lifted, and a walk to 14 neighbours: "I am in my new season." Judy Kay's song "According to your knowledge and your will for me" and "Audience of one" carried the benediction: God is not a man that he should lie, and no man can prevail.

Fast

• Fasting continues until Monday 2 November. That Monday is when they sum up the 31 days of prayer. He began to say "the 1st" and corrected himself to the 2nd. The hours of the fast were not restated in this service.

Sunday 1 November

• New Season Mega Shift, the first Sunday service in this house, at Streams of Joy Abuja.

Testimonies in church

• Testimonies are taken in the first service. Come early. The testimony stand is a glass building and is separate from the inquiry desk.

House rules

• No edibles in the auditorium.
• Bring your own bottled water, in your own water flask, so bottles and cups are not left behind.
• No loitering of any kind.

Offering

• Offerings, tithes and partnership raised together as a wave offering "before the God who sees you", because Streams of Joy gives to the King of kings. After giving, sit down. The devourer is rebuked and the windows of heaven are opened.

Guests

• Minister Judy Kay took the praise after the fire session and returned at the close for "According to your knowledge and your will for me" and "Audience of one". Pastor Jerry said one of her songs is one he loves to sing on the altar.

Social / sharing

• Look at your neighbour and share what blessed you tonight.
• Walk up to 14 neighbours and scream in their ear: "I am in my new season." Earlier in the service the same walk of 14 was "Congratulations."
• Find a neighbour, hold their hand, and raise the prayer fire. Find "a fellow Jacob".

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

• Anyone under the sound of his voice, at the sound of the amen: you will see the last day of this year, you will enter 2027, and no power will cut your life short. He said this had been impressed on him since he walked in.
• Any prayer, any tear, any intercession made in this house: you carry an evidence out.
• While you are still in the service, an email; when you get home, systems, structures and organs that have been written off: rise again.
• It shall still happen in October: completion, the perfection of the miracle, the next level, the email, the SMS, the phone call, the approval, the recommendation. By this time tomorrow, evidence. A proposal and a baby "shall still enter".

1. The gates of hell did not prevail. You have moved to the other side, and you are living in the manifestation of the promise. What the enemy meant for evil did not come to pass, and anyone who vowed you would not reach the place God assigned is a liar.
2. This is a new season, so it comes with a new name. Forsaken, desolate, sick, cancer and depression are old names. Abraham, Sarah and Israel received names; so do you, your family, your business and your children.
3. Arroi is calling you by name. The response of Bartimaeus is to throw away the garment of the old identity and carry early evidence, including last-minute evidence as October closes.
4. You are a prevailing generation. You stand in the evil day because you have put on the whole armor, and you stop the conspiracy before it stops you. Dead things rise when the disciples surround them. You are not surrounding your story alone: Mount Zion, the angels and the cloud of witnesses surround it with you.
5. New wine rises. A new thing God has started cannot remain at the level where it started, and it cannot be carried by an old container. What carries you does not decide your quantity. What God put inside you stretches the container. The excellency is of God.
6. Before the new wine, the old finishes. God lets the old go, even the old you wanted to keep, because you deserve better. On the heels of 2027, entering this house is a divine setup, and the new will come so fast that one thing follows hard on another.
7. Do not desire the wine if you will not take the water. The word is the water heaven uses to make wine. Pressure is the press: the grape is squeezed so the juice can ferment. "I am ready. Press it out."
8. They thought they had seen the best of you. There is a newer version of you, and they will know you have seen the God who sees you.

• Pray in the Holy Ghost from the heart, and make the prayer effectual.
• Pray "Give me my own", and declare "I jump in and I am made whole."
• Put on the whole armor, piece by piece, and shout fire on every evil day programmed for October, November and December.
• Declare "New season, new name", call out your own name, and throw away the garments of the old.
• With a neighbour's hand in yours, ask for early evidence and last-minute manifestation as October becomes November.
• Turn in a circle and surround finances, career, children, name and favour: "Rise again."
• Declare "It shall still happen in October", and "By this time tomorrow I carry my evidence."
• Lift both hands: "My new wine is rising", "I rise", "I have received the new wine; whatsoever will limit my newness, today I take you out."
• Pray "The old has finished. Let the new step in", and "My Father, press it out. I am ready."
• Keep the word (the water) if you want the wine: study, and declare the word before the meeting and in the office.
• Give tithes, offerings and partnership as a wave offering, then sit.
• Declare Psalm 91:1-2 with both hands lifted: "I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High."
• Tell your neighbour what blessed you, then walk up to 14 neighbours and scream, "I am in my new season."
• In this auditorium: no edibles, bring your own water flask, no loitering.
