THAT SAME JESUS [COMMUNION SERVICE]
THAT SAME JESUS [COMMUNION SERVICE] || SUNDAY SERVICE || 4TH OCTOBER 2026
That same Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever, is enough: keep the storm out of your heart, carry His river and your calling, ask for mercy, and give Him all the glory.

Summary
The first Sunday of October, one week after the NSPPD UK prayer conference at Old Trafford, ran as four communion services under one theme: that same Jesus, "the same yesterday, today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). Each service opened with worship and a set of "speak into the week" declarations (Monday to Saturday), and each closed with communion, offering and the announcements. Pastor Jerry preached a different message in each service, all hung on the same name. The cry he kept returning to was: "That same Jesus, He will do it again. That same Jesus, the naysayers cannot block it."
First service (Mark 4:35-41). He opened with long prayer: arrows and conspiracies formed "where your eyes cannot see" were declared blocked, with evidence promised "between Monday and Wednesday", and he called for "notable miracles" (Acts 4:16) "between now and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday". Before the sermon he set out the "dimensions" of Jesus: the infant Jesus, whom Herod's decree controlled; the growing Jesus, still called "the son of the carpenter"; the mandated Jesus who opened the scroll (Luke 4:18); the crucified Jesus, when "everywhere went silent"; and the resurrected, glorified Jesus whom God made "both Lord and Christ" (Acts 2:36). A season of crucifixion is not abandonment but "heaven's countdown": "There is no resurrection without crucifixion." The sermon itself took "let us pass over unto the other side". Jesus named the destination and never mentioned the storm, so the believer should not focus on what God did not say. A ship sinks only when the water gets in, so "it can happen around you, but don't let it happen in you." The devil's real target is the heart: a captured heart "prays nonsense prayer" and takes a victim identity, tying today's attack to one from 16 years ago to give you a "pattern" and "a name". Jesus rebuked the wind and spoke to the sea: know what to rebuke and what to speak to. And "Why are ye so fearful?" was a call for the disciples to grow their own faith instead of only marvelling at the man of God.
Second service (Matthew 10:1-8). Jesus called the Twelve, gave them power and sent them. Pastor Jerry spoke about "sent men": a sent mother produces destiny, not just children. You know you are called by the burden and the assignment you did not ask for ("Why should I be the one to deal with this?"). You may be the pattern breaker for your father's house, and "nobody will fulfil that calling for you". Sent men need power, because "life has a way of bringing you to a junction in destiny that only power can help you navigate", and you cannot be "playing with sin" and "leaking spiritual energy" while asking for power. He separated "sickness" from "disease": disease is what is wrong, sickness is how people perceive you because of it, and Jesus sends His people to heal wrong perceptions too (helpers and relationships lost to a projected image). "The lost sheep of the house of Israel" and the woman who lost her coin inside the house show that what the devil touched is still in the house: "I didn't lose anything." "The kingdom of heaven is at hand" means the King and His domain: your house, office and children are His domain. And when a yoke breaks, pray against its regrouping, because the unclean spirit comes back "with seven more".
Third service (John 5:1-9). At Bethesda, the impotent man answered "I have no man", pointing to his weakness, but Jesus looks at where He is strong: "I know what is not working, but I am enough." The stirring of the pool was a genuine, God-given but seasonal system. Jesus bypassed it, "a God that visits him in his house" outside the season, so a "Jesus moment" is coming that "will break seasons, scatter protocol, silence the naysayers", possibly "before 6:00 p.m. tomorrow". Water in a pool kept too long becomes idolatry; Jesus puts the water inside you (John 4:14; John 7:38; Ezekiel 47). Why that one man out of a great multitude? Mercy (Romans 9:15-16). No one in Scripture who asked for mercy was turned away (Bartimaeus, the Syrophoenician woman, the ten lepers, even Cain had his punishment reduced). So end every prayer with "Lord, show me mercy", as Hebrews 4:16 invites, which he read in The Passion Translation.
Fourth service (thanksgiving). He set the sermon aside, saying it would be "abnormal" to treat this service like the others one week after Old Trafford. He told of sitting in a BBC interview on Friday, walking into the Manchester United stadium and seeing "a sea of seats", and of presidents now asking when NSPPD can come to their nation. He said medics from the venue's own side verified every miracle at Old Trafford before it reached the stage. In about five more months (end of March 2027) he will have gone seven years without missing a single day on the altar. "Pastor Jerry is not a powerful man of God. Look at a powerful God." He charged the church to be consistent, stay humble, refuse to share God's glory, and thank God loudly even if it annoys the neighbour (David dancing before Michal). This communion was "a communion of thanksgiving".
Testimonies across the day included visas and settlement in the UK and US, a broken pattern of early death in a Lesotho family, a 10-year dental affliction healed during the UK conference stream, a revived "dead" business, a husband's bones aligned after a solar-panel accident, and a woman who built her parents a house.

Testimonies played / recapped
First service
- UK family visa (woman): at the 2025 UK conference she vowed to testify in Abuja if her family got a better visa. Their post-study visa expired January 2026. Her employer would not sponsor, and her husband, a PhD researcher, had been refused a global talent visa. A professor recommended him. They applied for the endorsement stage in November 2025, then by faith for the visa stage before hearing back. In February 2026 both stages were granted, and within two months he got a lecturer post at a prestigious UK university.
- "Mama Estella" (nurse, UK): survived a 2022 crash (helicopter, two fire trucks, police, two ambulances) without a scratch, the day after a prayer against sudden death. Kept failing one module needed for her nursing PIN; the university took an unprecedented step and convened with the NMC, and she qualified. Then anaemia, fibroids and three cancer scares (breast biopsy, colon, blood) all came back clear. Her brother survived an accident with heavy bleeding and was discharged. Her niece is free after 13 years of drug addiction.
- Skincare and spa therapist from Jalingo (Taraba): started seven years ago with a 45,000 naira shop, now runs two branches. Came to Abuja four years ago knowing no one. On 6 September she handed her parents a house that took almost five years to build, and bought herself a car as a birthday gift. Her two 21-day-fast requests (business safety, the house) were both answered. Her next request: her own house in Abuja.
Second service (testifiers named as Rejoice, Elisha, Mrs. Chigi, Emmanuel and Femi Bright; caption spellings uncertain)
- Woman, fire accident: survived a fire accident in September 2025 while backslidden. Lost the job that had pulled her from God. Returned to NSPPD in July, was interviewed after NSPPD that day and offered the job the same day, started 1 September, and got a second offer before starting. Delivered from two road incidents in one month, the second on 30 September. Her third-degree burns are healing faster than expected, after Pastor Jerry mentioned the case twice.
- Woman, consumer-goods business: her imported goods shop in an Abuja plaza struggled, and everyone told her to sell. A friend managing it while the family was abroad looted it. A hypermarket outlet then burnt down, and a second outlet ("Potaco", likely Port Harcourt) met hostility from other suppliers. She joined NSPPD in early 2023 and declared "Ephphatha" (caption "e fatter") and "breaking forth on every side". Management gave her a better display space, the burnt branch reopened and invited her back, and the business is booming.
- Man, UK and Nigeria: in 2023 he prayed with a friend, a general surgeon, about an abdominal lump; on the Sunday second service Pastor Jerry said "that lump is gone", and her scan confirmed it. He was later falsely blamed at work, suspended, cleared by police, but fired. He applied for over 3,500 jobs, registered a business, and was told to leave the UK. Back in Nigeria the business brought in clients paying in pounds, almost twice his old salary. His visa came on the fifth application, as God had told him, by an email that arrived during NSPPD testimonies. His raised creatinine and failing kidney readings are back to normal.
- Man, transport and property (Abuja): received a car from a total stranger without paying, and a second car three days ago. He had over 10 years of severe tooth and gum pain, two extractions and painkillers every four hours. During the NSPPD UK prayer conference stream he silently asked God to take it away, and pus mixed with blood came out of his mouth. He now eats rice and chicken with all his teeth, without pain.
Third service
- Woman from Lesotho, living in the UK (caption "Refill Matso"): her father died young, around 43-45; a brother-in-law died in 2023 at about that age; uncles too. In 2024 her mother had spinal surgery (L1-L2), then a hole in her gut with foul fluid, and hallucinated people calling her away; she was discharged. On 2 January 2025 her younger sister collapsed before her wedding with dangerously high blood pressure; she survived surgery and married. When her sponsor's certificate of sponsorship was revoked, she refused shortcuts (asylum, marriage for papers), travelled to the wedding and re-entered the UK without trouble. An aunt, "a very strong Roman Catholic", introduced her to NSPPD.
- Woman, husband's accident: on 14 July a 7.8 by 3.2 solar panel fell from a scaffold and broke her husband's bone in two. She had dreamed of heavy equipment swung at her head and fasted to 3 p.m. that Monday. On the Thursday, NSPPD prophesied "bone to its bone, flesh to its flesh". After surgery that night the surgeon said "the bones are perfectly aligned."
- Man, now a US citizen: in 2017 he refused shortcuts to stay in the US on a visitor visa and came home. His passport and visa were stolen, and two new applications were refused; his mother said no one in her family who returned had ever gone back. He married a friend from 2017 who filed for his green card, which stalled for three years. On 15 December 2020 he joined NSPPD for the first time ("all doors are open", Ephphatha). Pastor Jerry said a message would come at 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time, and the embassy email came at exactly 5:00 p.m. He travelled, became a US citizen in 2023, and has two children.
- Recapped by the worship leader: a woman whose womb had been removed went back for a scan after a word on the altar and was found to have a womb again.
Words of knowledge / healing declarations
- Stones in the kidney or bladder dropping off.
- Glaucoma broken (caption "gluccom"), pain in the stomach reversed, every open heart sealed (first service).
- "Hands covering your eyes" from seeing opportunity, a new season or a breakthrough moment: broken.
- "Somebody snatched it from you ... we take it back."
- "You will not wake up to cancer ... to tumour"; "you will not wake up to a news of shame."
- Second service: anyone whose picture was put somewhere, or whose body fluid was taken as a token, set free; mysterious yokes and unexplained infirmities broken.
- Third service: "before 6:00 p.m. tomorrow" an evidence without a sign; a Jesus moment that breaks seasons.
Important message
- Jesus is not a figure from one century. He is "that same Jesus", the same yesterday, today and forever, with the same grace, power and authority now at work in us, and His words are new every morning.
- Know Him past the infant (controlled by Herod), the growing (named by his father's trade) and even the mandated Jesus. Know the crucified and resurrected Jesus. A season of crucifixion, when things go quiet, doors close and people leave, is God putting the flesh where it belongs. It is "heaven's countdown": "There is no resurrection without crucifixion."
- God spoke of the other side, not the storm. Do not build your faith around what He did not say. The danger is never the storm around you but the water that gets in: "It can happen around you, but don't let it happen in you."
- The devil wants your heart before your destiny. Do not let him link today's attack to an old one and give you a pattern or a name. Know what to rebuke (the wind, the cause) and what to speak to (the sea, the situation). Grow your own faith instead of only admiring the anointing of others.
- Your burden is your calling. If you carry the matter in your family, you may be the one sent to break its pattern, and no one else will do it for you. A sent person needs power, and power does not sit with secret sin.
- Jesus heals sickness (wrong perception) as well as disease. Whatever is lost is still "in the house"; light the lamp of the Word and find it. Speak the King and His domain everywhere.
- Jesus is enough where you are weak. He can step outside the established season and visit you at home. He puts the river inside you, so do not chase "pools", traditions or a single prophet.
- Mercy is the deciding factor, and no one in Scripture who asked for it was refused. Come boldly to the throne of grace; ask mercy over medical reports, children and mistakes.
- All glory belongs to God. "Pastor Jerry is not a powerful man of God. Look at a powerful God." Big platforms come with big battles. Stay consistent in small things, humble, and loudly thankful.
What he asks of us
Today / this season
- Take the communion, believing it for what each service named (anything not of God in spirit, soul and body; ease, access and visibility; your three requests; thanksgiving).
- Fast 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day of October.
- Give your offering, tithe and partnership, and in the fourth service a thanksgiving seed.
- When storms come, rebuke the wind, speak peace to the sea, and keep the water out of your heart and mind.
- Learn the lesson in each trial, not only the miracle: "God, what did you teach me?"
- Accept your calling for your family and pray until it stands "perfect and complete in all the will of God".
- When a yoke breaks, thank God and pray against any regrouping.
- Add "Lord, show me mercy" to the end of every prayer.
- Be consistent in one thing; do not start today and quit today.
- Thank God loudly, even for what looks small, and never give the glory to a man: say "he serves a powerful God", not "my pastor is powerful".
- Pick up and submit testimony forms so you can testify next Sunday. First-timers: fill in the visitor forms.
