BUILT TO LAST - PART 2

The first Thursday Word & Fire of September opens in worship ("Glory to the Lamb", "You're too faithful to fail me", "God is good, He has done me well"). An associate leads thanksgiving from Psalm 92 and Psalm 127, then the house prays over Pastor Jerry: deepen our roots, strengthen the foundation of the Word, and let no one leave the same way they came. The cry of the night is declared early and often: "I am built to last."

Fire prayer frames the congregation as products of an incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23). Because the Word lives forever, every written promise is commanded to burst out: healing by His stripes, marital settlement, long life against a pattern of death. September is called a ninth-month birthing season. They frame September to December with celebration and back-to-back congratulations; they align like the midwives in Egypt so God will build home, career, marriage, finance and health; they refuse Saul's sabotage; they take Jesus as the only foundation and walk out of generational cycles with a sound mind, a healthy body and a fervent spirit. The prophetic block is a long "you are built to last" litany: you will outlast the storm, you are not an abandoned project, Arroi will make them know His hand is on you.

Teaching continues the series from foundations into Ruth. He would rather a skyscraper foundation under a bungalow than a bungalow foundation under a skyscraper destiny. Hidden seasons of prayer, fasting and delay are God pouring the foundation of the church's seventh floor underground while bungalows finish first. God never authors without a plan (ark, temple colours, priestly garments and stones, Bezalel gifted to execute). Then Ruth 1:1-18 is read standing. Orpah went upper without root; Ruth lasted. Naomi's return to Bethlehem (God had visited His people with bread) became the start of Ruth's glorious destiny, even though God had outlawed Moabites, and Ruth became great-grandmother of Jesus.

The charge is go back in order to go forward: back to fasting, midnight prayer, a rugged faith, a you-and-God consecration you have outgrown. GPS language: you missed a turn; rerouting looks like going back, but you are still heading to the destination. Ruth clave to Naomi (Hebrew dabaq, the same "cleave" as Genesis 2:24), which he glosses as communion with God through a woman connected to God. Destiny roadmap, victory, financial breakthrough and season-change are often a man. Orpah cried and went home; Ruth cried and stayed, because when destiny beckons, emotions are not necessary. Great men let convictions drive feelings, not the other way around. Naomi left Moab not because bread had run out there, but because that bread was eating her children, her consecration, her faith and her joy. There is bread in Moab and bread in Bethlehem; the Bethlehem bread opened a new chapter, and Naomi lost two sons but gained a generation.

He closes with a wave offering, the week's announcements (Friday grand finale, Monday Furnace of Answers, Sunday The Wait Is Over, The Siege Is Broken), the November move into the new church, and the Psalm 91 decree. Walk up to 14 neighbours and tell them, "I am built to last."

1. You were designed to last because you were born of the Word. An incorruptible seed that lives forever cannot produce a short-lived life. If the promise is written and not yet flesh, insist until it bursts out.
2. Longevity is still a foundation question. A skyscraper destiny on a bungalow foundation will eventually crack. Hidden prayers, fasts and delays are often God thickening what no one can see, the way a seventh-floor pad is poured underground while bungalows look finished.
3. God never authors without a plan. Ark, temple, priestly garments, even colours and stones: a God that detailed can still locate your transition season. Arroi has the plan; you cannot be stranded. If He breaks a piece you wanted, it is because you are built to last.
4. It is not how far you go, it is how rooted you are. Orpah went upper without root and left the story. Ruth stayed and lasted, even from a people God had outlawed, all the way into the lineage of Jesus.
5. Sometimes the pathway to a new chapter is a journey back. Naomi's return to Bethlehem (bread in the house of bread) unveiled Ruth's destiny. Go back to the fasting, midnight prayer, rugged faith and you-and-God consecration you walked past. You cannot be bigger than yesterday's instruction. Missing a turn and rerouting is still a forward journey; the one who "passed" you may not be going to your destination.
6. Cleave to people who are cleaved to God. Ruth's dabaq was communion with God through Naomi. Between Ruth and a God she did not know stood a woman who looked old, barren and "useless," yet that connection put her in Boaz's field. Everybody carries a presence, God's or demonic. Destiny roadmap, grace, finance and season-change often come through a man; do not let uncommon grace chase you away.
7. When destiny beckons, emotions are not necessary. Orpah cried and went home; Ruth cried and stayed. Feeling bad is not the same as acting bad. Great men let convictions drive feelings. Raw feelings are not intelligent until conviction makes them so. Do not live in the story in your head; the building has a plan, and your spirit already has it.
8. Stop eating the bread that eats you. Moab still had bread; that bread ate Naomi's husband, sons, consecration, faith, peace, joy and courage. News, other people's actions, television, words, conspiracy, fear, anxiety and "you are not enough" are that bread. Bethlehem bread added a generation: Naomi lost two sons and gained a lineage. There is always a Naomi in the picture, even if she discouraged you. Destiny is not emotional.

• Open your mouth; a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Sound fire.
• Declare: "I am built to last. I am a product of the Word of God." Command every written promise (healing, marital settlement, long life) to burst out.
• Frame September to December with the Word: celebration, back-to-back congratulations, no negativity, no evil emergency.
• In the ninth month, position for birthing in career, ministry and what God is building through your life.
• Align to His will so He builds your home, career, marriage, finance and health; refuse Saul's sabotage of what He is building.
• Put your hand on your head: wisdom, insight, foresight; you are not a candidate for arrows of error, generational cycles, or diseases that stop men. Step through September with a sound mind, a healthy body and a fervent spirit.
• Arise against every foundation that is not Jesus; whatsoever the Father has not planted, uproot. Declare kingdom, power and glory over career, family, finance, marriage and health.
• Tell seven neighbours they are built to last, wired, anointed, raised and lifted to last; at the close, walk up to 14 neighbours and tell them "I am built to last."
• Tell your neighbour: "Go back." Return to fasting (including a weekly fast given years ago), midnight prayer, speaking in tongues (capacity cannot replace prayer), seed life, zeal, passion, consecration.
• Pray: "My Father, help me to stay connected to the right people, to the right place, for the right reasons." Ask: "Who are you connected to?"
• Let convictions drive feelings. Speak your conviction when the devil throws "nonsense" at you. Stop feeding on the bread of fear, anxiety, worry and "I am not enough."
• Bring offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering.
• Share with your neighbour what blessed you tonight.
• Close with Psalm 91: "I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High… in Him will I trust."
