OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY

New-month altar, 2 September 2026. The cry of the morning was “Oh Lord, show me mercy.” Fire and wheelchair-raising opened the stream, then Pastor Jerry moved the house onto mercy as the strategy of September: not intelligence, not strategy, not who you know, not even finances - when mercy arrives, there is a turnaround.

He led the first mercy prayer of the month from Hebrews 4:16 (come boldly to the throne of grace), Psalm 90:14 (satisfy us early with your mercy in September), and a long stretch of Scripture: mercy rejoices over judgment; God did not forsake Israel in the wilderness; He saves Judah by Himself, not by bow or sword; Bartimaeus, the woman who asked for her daughter, and leprosy reversed by a cry for mercy; Romans 9 - it is of God that shows mercy. Pastor K joined to decree that wicked judgment is rolled away, a new chapter of laughter is open, and anything mercy does not allow shall not enter September.

Words of knowledge ran from muscular dystrophy and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome through cancers, lupus nephritis, scoliosis, a seven-year family silence, and charms buried in houses. The declaration of the day was “The mercy of God brought my evidence.” Testimonies matched it: wedding after years of delay (same 2013 dress), kidneys restored after dialysis, appendix/PMP cancer reversed in London, twins after ten years from Houston.

He closed with salvation, three communions, a charge not to miss tomorrow’s fire-for-fire altar (come with your mantle and a paper of where you are / where you see yourself), and the NSPPD UK prayer conference on 26 September.

Testimonies played / recapped

1. Wedding on Papa’s birthday cycle - last 22 August she sent a request that she would not see Papa’s 2026 birthday single; she met her odogwu in September after that birthday; today is her wedding day, gown on, people gathered in the compound.
2. Married 29 May this year - met via TikTok the day Pastor Jerry said “write today’s date; it will speak for a long time” (29 May). They married on that anniversary.
3. Francisco (name from her self-congratulation letter) - engaged 2013, registry and dress done, groom did not show; years of delay. Joined NSPPD, wore the dress as a mantle, wrote a congratulation letter at Pastor Jerry’s August 2024 birthday (“you are married in your mid-40s”). Married the same man in the same 2013 dress on 22 August 2025.
4. Kidneys restored - August 2025: malaria/typhoid treatment, then both kidneys shrunk, system collapse, oxygen, coma, loss of use of legs, dialysis three times a week. Claimed a word of knowledge on shrinking kidneys; refused further dialysis; doctors later held dialysis. Scan 5 August (this year): both kidneys normal size; about a year without dialysis.
5. Chimi Ma, London - enlarged ovaries/uterus, ovarian cyst, fluid in the pouch of Douglas (claimed when he called it; fluid gone before laparoscopy). Biopsy → tumour of unknown origin → pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) / mucinous cancer from the appendix spreading in the abdomen. Surgery was to take both ovaries, spleen, gallbladder. She flew to Abuja, claimed “cancer of the appendix” on the altar; later told no more cancer; ovaries and uterus still intact. On the altar six years; still believing for the fruit of the womb.
6. Lydia Emanuel, Houston - trying since 2016, IVF from 2018, ~three losses including a five-month loss in 2020. Printed papers for years; kept a colour picture of a boy and a girl as Pastor Jerry’s 2025 birthday present / evidence. Pregnant after that August, confirmed twins (boy and girl), complications near delivery, babies born May this year. Came to Streams of Joy to dedicate them. Ten years. Word she held: mind the posture of your heart.

Pastor’s recap: stay on the altar when others collect four or six children; God named and reversed appendix cancer and shrinking kidneys; September will connect people to a spouse / fruit of the womb whether they feel ready or not. Yesterday another malaria-to-kidney testimony; this is the second.

1. Mercy is the strategy of September. Labour and stamina are not the engine. God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. That is why we pray for mercy.
2. Judgment does not get the last word. Mercy rejoices over judgment - sickness-as-judgment, obituary, mistake, evil ordinance, the finger of the enemy.
3. God does not forsake people in the night. Some are in their night asking “where are You?” The same God who was cloud by day and fire by night is there in every season and transition.
4. When God decides to show mercy, He does it by Himself. No bow, no sword, no battle required.
5. He is the God of multiple chances, not just a second chance. Failures, witchcraft, united accusation, closed chapters - the blood of Jesus speaks mercy and the head is raised again. Nobody in the family or career is left behind.
6. Stay on the altar. Ten years may come and go. Other people’s four and six children are not your evidence. Watch the posture of your heart. God never fails. What God cannot do does not exist.
7. When you do not know what to say, shout Arroi - in confusion, when you cannot pray, when the challenge is too much, when you cannot cry.
