OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY

Day 38 of the 40 Days of Prayer, Miracles and Mercy opened in worship with prophetic announcements over the live stream - wheelchairs lifted, the fruit of the womb, "nothing will go wrong in your future," and a promise that within less than 24 hours, and specifically before 7:00 p.m. Nigerian time, the Lord would show people that He has heard them. Pastor Jerry called for salvation early, then moved the whole house into the day's single cry.

The prayer was mercy, and nothing else. "All I ask, all I ask is mercy." He prayed it in four movements, each anchored in a psalm or an epistle: unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul - let me not be ashamed; our soul waited for thee, thou art our help and our shield, we trust in thy mercy; it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not; and shew me a token for good. The refrain he returned to again and again was "Only your mercy endures forever" - prayed deliberately for people whose faith had failed, who had made mistakes, who did not know what to pray any more, and over whom experts and doctors had already returned a verdict.

From there he turned to reversal. Standing on mercy rejoiceth against judgment, he named judgments of shame, pain, foundations, strong men, delay and evil arrows and commanded mercy to rejoice over each one - then ran a long healing list over the live stream ("if you are the one, put it on the live stream - the devil is a liar, let it be reversed"): Down syndrome, diabetes, organ failure, platelet disorders, metastatic cancer, neurofibromatosis, respiratory conditions, open wounds, paralysis, and the undiagnosed "from one diagnosis to another." Into that he dropped a specific word for a parent who lost two children in one day in a home accident: may the Lord give you back three - those hands will carry your triplets in this season.

The congregation was told to fetch whatever they needed mercy for, place it beside their device and kneel. Pastor K and another minister gave mercy declarations, then Pastor Jerry gave the day's prophetic act: seven declarations of "the mercy of God has prevailed," beginning with your own name and then naming six other things - a sickness, a challenge, a heart's desire, a promotion, a fear. A seed of thanksgiving was released on the same words: "What you are doing is prophetic. Don't do it thoughtlessly."

Six testimonies followed - two reversed paralysis cases, a saxophonist healed of Bell's palsy, a baby after years of waiting, a London woman whose lung lesions vanished after she asked God to put the word in Pastor Jerry's mouth from a hospital ward, and a 65-year-old woman carrying a stack of answers: a delivered daughter, two autistic nephews now speaking, ten siblings reunited, land restored, and healing of lumbar spondylosis and osteoarthritis. Pastor K called the altar "heaven's call center," recalling the prophet in Israel who told the king the words spoken in the enemy's bedchamber. Three communions closed the service, and the house declared Psalm 91 together.

Three servings:

Testimonies played / recapped

• Paralysis reversed. It began 1 March 2024 at her office - legs shaking, itching, swollen "big like yam"; by October 2024 she could not walk. During a service Pastor Jerry declared "You are not God - call it by name," and she called it: paralysis, you are not God. Fully mobile now.
• Father paralysed by a wrong drug. Sick on 30 December 2025, given the wrong medication at hospital, paralysed by 3 January 2026. At the America Conference 2026 his daughters urged him to obey Pastor Jerry's "check yourself" - he stood up immediately and walked, after months down since January.
• Bell's palsy / the saxophonist. Symptoms noticed 8 July 2025; diagnosed with Bell's palsy affecting the left side of his face - could not smile, taste, close his eye or produce tears, and could not play his saxophone; wore a face mask writing exams. During the media fast before Papa's birthday, the declaration "if you are the one, put it on the live stream, by the power that raised Jesus from the dead" came, and everything returned to normal. He played the saxophone on the altar as a birthday wish to Pastor Jerry.
• Mr and Mrs Emmanuel - baby after years of waiting. Married 2017, believing for the fruit of the womb through repeated diagnoses and theatre visits. She stumbled on an April new-month prayer while recovering from surgery and joined the platform; travelled by night bus in September 2024, arrived Abuja after 2:00 a.m., slept in the park, then attended four services at Streams of Joy. Pregnant October 2025; she prayed the recorded declarations ("no pregnant woman will die in her pregnancy... you will not give life and lose life") through a scare in the ninth month. Their son was born on 31 May and was presented back to the altar.
• London - lung lesions. In and out of hospital with severe breathlessness; wheeled to A&E by her haematologist and nurse; CT and repeated bloods; told there were 2 cm lesions on her lungs, "usually they are cancerous." From Ward 14, around 7:50 a.m. on Friday 10 July, she prayed: "God, put it in the mouth of Pastor Jerry - I need a witness." Before she finished speaking, he said "lesions... let it be reversed" three or four times on the live stream. At the follow-up biopsy appointment the doctors said "it's not that, we don't see that anymore - it's nothing cancerous."
• Multiple testimonies from one woman (aged 65). (a) Her only daughter collapsed four times crying "my head, my head," with a voice speaking through her threatening death in poverty; delivered at the first Lagos NSPPD conference, and free from 2024 to date. (b) Her brother's two sons in America with autism, non-verbal, now talking "more than everyone in the house" and back in school after she brought their names to the altar. (c) Ten siblings (seven boys, three girls) who had never come together in 75 years, divided and not speaking; two days after the 2026 prayer and fasting they were reunited on a family WhatsApp group, and the family sent a gift to Pastor Jerry. (d) Two plots of land in Lagos tied up five years by a developer who turned out to be a scammer, demanding ₦40 million against ₦15 million in the signed MOU; a man from London gave her ₦55 million non-refundable, and the project is now running. (e) Told in 2019 she would never walk again - lumbar spondylosis and osteoarthritis, advised to prepare for a wheelchair; she cancelled the report and is walking, kicking her legs on the altar at 65.

• A new name: "Your new name is married, pregnancy, celebration, congratulation, another beginning."
• "Whatever followed you here, you will not live with it."
• To a 65-year-old: "The Lord will sustain your age - no part of your body will break down."

1. Mercy is the only ground any of us stand on. "We may not deserve it, but pour out your mercy. We may have got to the end of the road, but pour out your mercy... Only your mercy endures forever." The prayer was deliberately for people with no case to argue.
2. You are not consumed - and that is a mercy, not an achievement. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Health, answers, children, journey, visions, heart's desire: none of them will be consumed, and the devil, affliction, the battle and those who hate His name will not have the last word.
3. Mercy outranks judgment. Justice and judgment are the foundation of His throne, but mercy goes before Him - so a verdict already returned by doctors or experts is not the end of the matter. "It will not end the way the devil planned it."
4. His mercies are new every morning, which is exactly why the person whose faith has failed, who has made mistakes, who no longer knows what to believe or what to pray, still qualifies.
5. You do not need the right words to be heard. The London testimony was his proof text: she could not pray, she simply asked God to put it in the mouth of His servant - and heaven answered from Ward 14 before she had finished the sentence. "There are situations that make you not know what to pray."
6. A withheld testimony is a closed door. Only one leper returned and only he was made whole; the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy, so let other people's faith rise on what God did for you.
7. Restlessness breaks yokes. "From the days of John the Baptist until now" - the woman who took a night bus and slept in a park got her baby. "If problem has decided to disgrace itself, is it you that will start hiding?"
8. What you do in obedience today is prophetic, not decorative - the declarations, the seed, the writing down. "Don't do it thoughtlessly."

• Bring out the actual thing you need mercy on, get on your knees and place it beside your device.
