THE SEASON IS CHANGING - PART 4

This is the Thursday-evening Word & Fire service, Part 4 of The Season Is Changing, and a transitional night: the last Thursday in June, the last Thursday of the second quarter, and the last Thursday of the first half of 2026. Worship ran long ("You are holy", "Nothing in this world can satisfy", "All that I have is a hallelujah", "Sing to the Lamb", "Jesus, you are enough") before the altar was framed as a night to set the second half. The opening cry was that there is a miracle, a transformation, a healing, a deliverance, a favour and a breakthrough in this service with your name; hanging first-half prophecy must become reality; and you must carry tangible evidence that you met with God. From John 7:37 ("on the last day of the feast… if anyone thirsts, let him come") and Matthew 5:6, the house was told to hunger for more.

Prayer then committed July through December to Jesus' reign. From Psalm 102:13 ("the Lord will arise and have mercy upon Zion, for the set time"), the congregation was told they can set the time: "Your prayers will show what you are setting." The second half must not repeat the first; it must not mix bitter tears into a season of celebration (the wine that ran out at Cana). Roadblocks in health, career, family and the father's house were named and hit with fire. Stumbling blocks of January to June were declared stepping stones of July to December. The house was pressed like a woman in labour: "You are in the labour room of your destiny. Your baby cannot be aborted." Other movements: the axe at the root of fruitless trees; "out of the eater came forth meat"; affliction turning to multiplication (the more they were afflicted, the more they multiplied); Gideon hearing "thou mighty man of valour"; David moving from wilderness to palace; Elijah's God who answers by fire; John the Baptist's Holy Ghost and fire; Jesus' "I came to set fire upon the earth"; and the Samaritan woman throwing away her bucket to embrace the fountain. The night's chant was "The seasons are changing" and "I am changing with the season."

Words of knowledge followed: a termination letter reversed; a hole in the heart sealed; bad news from home turned into a miracle; a five-year-old who has not walked commanded to walk; hanging prophecy resting on the heart; famine, dryness and barrenness swept out; accidents cancelled; the spotlight of heaven announcing someone to their generation.

For the word the congregation stood and read Ruth 1:8-18. Pastor Jerry summed the week's teaching: seasons are products of light (Genesis 1:14); there is no random season; light creates good seasons and darkness creates bad ones; one disobeyed instruction can forestall a season already ordained; God never takes you into a season you are not aware of, and never sends packages to nowhere. If you have outgrown the old and have not yet called forth the new, you hang in irrelevance. "There is no such thing in the realm of the spirit called a vacuum… the meaning of delay, if you ask me, is decline." Ecclesiastes 3:1 was turned on its head: it is "to everything there is a season," not "to every season there are things," so every season is a summation of what you are doing, not doing, and leaving empty. Ruth, standing between two seasons while the old one said "go back," became the picture of how a new season is entered: it is a journey, a place, people, and God. Orpah (her name read as "neck") could move but could not see or hear; Elimelech's house ran to Moab for bread that was not from God and three of the covenant died, while the bread God authored in Bethlehem left an eternal legacy in Jesus. The core charge: "All that Ruth did right was never to look back."

Offerings, tithes and partnership were lifted as a wave offering. Announcements named Glory Friday with the mantle, Sunday's communion harvest services, the 14-day Global Media Fast beginning Monday, and the last congregational fast in that building. The close was Psalm 91:1-2 and fourteen neighbours told, "I am in my new season."

1. Seasons are products of light. At the creation of light they were appointed for seasons. You are not ready for a new season until the light of revelation has hit your mind, or light has entered the situation by continuous meditation on the word. There is no such thing as a random season.
2. Seasons can be created, and the devil is also creating. Light creates good seasons; darkness creates bad ones. An instruction you did not obey can forestall a season already ordained. You are one instruction away from a new season, but a veiled eye will miss it.
3. God never sends packages to nowhere, and never takes you into a season you are not aware of. If you have outgrown the old and have not called forth the new, you hang in irrelevance. There is no vacuum in the spirit. Delay, as he defined it, is decline.
4. A season is the sum of what you are doing now. Ecclesiastes says to everything there is a season, not the other way round. Laziness, impurity, and the vacuum you are living are already pointing to a season. Would you be proud of the season those things will create?
5. The second half will not copy the first. Where you cried from January to June you will not cry like that again; battles fought in the first half will not be fought again; God will lift, announce, project, melt mountains, line up men, resources and favour, and clothe you with glory and beauty.
6. Ruth's new season was calling while the old season said go back. New seasons can be the product of men God sent; old seasons can be the product of men the devil sent. Discern.
7. A new season is a journey. "Where thou goest, I will go." Be ready for a prayer journey, an intercession journey, a word journey, a separation journey, a renewal journey, a revival journey. Things happening in you may be preparation for a table you cannot yet see.
8. Psalm 23 is a following, not a shortcut to the table. He leadeth me. The Bible did not advertise the table at the start. Green pastures sound better than the valley of the shadow of death, but the valley is closer to the prepared table. Keep following even when you cannot see where you are going. Do not rush to ask for a full cup; get the oil on your head, and the cup will run over.
9. A new season is a place. "Where thou lodgest, I will lodge." Every place is not the place. Anywhere that does not look like what God told you should not find you, and you need not apologise for that. Places include postures of the mind: leave malice and anxiety.
10. A new season is people. "Thy people shall be my people." Who you follow, befriend and talk with is part of the season. Some of the most blessed associations God sends will also have discouraging days. Naomi pushed Ruth back, then later helped her marry Boaz. Do not judge a God-sent relationship by its bad days.
11. A new season is God. Naomi said go back to your gods; Ruth the former idol worshipper answered, "your God." A woman who has touched fire will not be sent back to an old season. Sin is no longer comfortable; some things have lost their taste.
12. Do not be all neck. Orpah's name was taught as "neck": movement without a head, so she could move but not see or hear. Destiny extinction is movement without sight; destiny irrelevance is movement without hearing. Heaven needs to put a proper head on the movement.
13. Obedience and sight keep you on the road. The man in the field would have missed the treasure if he refused to walk. Saul found Samuel because he obeyed his father over the lost asses. Jesus endured the cross because of the joy set before him. Orpah never saw, so she turned back. Open your eyes; this season requires them. Time-wasting relationships were named as a neck without a head.
14. Ask what kind of bread you are eating. Elimelech went to Moab for bread that was not from God; three of the covenant died. Naomi returned to Bethlehem for bread God had authored, and from that bread Jesus came. There is bread that kills and bread that leaves an eternal legacy.
15. Strange land keeps strange men and kills those of the covenant. Three Israelites died in Moab; the two Moabites lived. There are places that recognise their own and will let them function; if you step in, you can lose favour and passion. Some places and people are not compatible with your new season. A shipwreck in a destiny person is celebration in the kingdom of darkness.
16. The core of the night: all Ruth did right was never to look back. Your new season is a journey, a product of places, a sum of the God-kind of people he sends, and tied to the God you love.

Today / this season

• Lift your voice: there is a miracle, transformation, healing, deliverance, favour and breakthrough in this service with your name; hanging first-half prophecy, prayer and promise, become reality; carry evidence that you met with God.
• Set the remaining six months of 2026: "Jesus, you must reign" over cancer, delay, sickness, addiction, rising and falling, and sin. Pray until your prayer shows what you are setting.
• Shout fire at satanic and human roadblocks in health, career, family and the father's house. Declare stumbling blocks of the first half as stepping stones of the second.
• Press in like a woman in labour. Call your name. Hands on your head: a higher you, break out with fresh revelation, ideas and creativity.
• Throw away the bucket (old, pocket-sized mindset) and embrace the fountain. Cry for overflow, for water that satisfies cities and nations, for God to use you.
• Tell neighbours: "Your season has changed" (walk up to fourteen of them). At the close, walk up to fourteen persons and say, "I am in my new season."
• Be ready for the journey: purity of thoughts, consecration, the place that looks like the word, the people God sends, and the God Ruth chose. Discern. Do not lodge where the new season cannot live. Do not be all neck: ask God to put a head on your movement.
• Ask what bread you are eating. Leave places you were not called to. Never look back.
• Give offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering; take a share in the church building project.
• Declare Psalm 91:1-2 as you leave. Share with a neighbour what blessed you tonight.
