THE SEASON IS CHANGING - PART 1

This is the Thursday-evening Word & Fire service at Streams of Joy Abuja, the first Thursday of June 2026, and Part 1 of The Season Is Changing. Worship ran long ("Why should I fear, I am surrounded by your love", "You are my foundation", "Every knee shall bow", "Let every other name fade away", "Lord I lift your name on high", "The gospel is not for Sunday morning", "I will call upon the Lord", "I desire nothing else but you", "You are all that matter"). The altar was framed as kairos: Papa had already said June is not just a new month, it is a new season. From the sons of Issachar the house asked for wisdom, insight, and posture for the new season. Vacancies were declared open. The night's cry was "The season is changing."

Fire prayers then pressed a new posture: new wine cannot go into an old wineskin, so when the season changes the man must change. God did not send rain until there was a man to fill the earth. The house clapped for the sound of the abundance of rain, deployed angels the way they showed up for Zechariah, Gideon, Abraham and Sarah, and asked the hand of the Lord to carry them the way it carried Ezekiel. Negativity of the old season was refused access. In the sixth month an angel was sent to Mary; Jacobs were becoming Israel; Habakkuk's "revive thy work in the midst of the years" was prayed over January to May. Acts 28 framed the house as the fire in a cold generation. John said he baptizes with water, but the One who comes baptizes with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Elijah's "let no one escape" was shouted at the prophets of Baal. Clouds full of rain empty themselves; prayers of the saints return as fire and as answers. Pharaoh was told it is jubilee: slavery is over, the blood is on the door, and the Egyptians seen before will be seen no more. A little one shall be called a thousand. Forty neighbours were told the seasons are changing.

For the word the congregation stood and read Ecclesiastes 3:1: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Pastor Jerry called the night an overview of how to discern that a season is changing, not yet the heart of the requirements. Some season changes come with no cloud at all, like stepping out for bread and being soaked before you reach home. John the Baptist prophesied the coming One, then sent to ask, "Are you he?" Joseph was sent ahead, sold, hurt with fetters, and the word of the Lord tried him until his word came. The text does not say "to every season there are things." Things determine seasons: spiritual habits, capacity, accumulated amens and scriptures. No new season happens without a sound, but a confused trumpet produces no battle line. Discern your sound. The first biblical use of "season" sits next to light (Genesis 1:14), so revelation, fellowship and atmosphere are light, and the mind must be renewed until you are transported. When rain is about to fall God told Elijah, "Go, show thyself unto Ahab." Show up in prayer, declaration and assignment. God sends men with the word, men with the map, and men with the evidence; audit the circle. A season change is warfare: Herod at the birth of Jesus, the fight around Peter and Paul, David staying from battle, a contrary wind in the middle of the sea. This is the middle of the year. Do not lose fire.

Offerings, tithes and partnership were lifted as a wave offering. From this Thursday to next, 15 minutes a day in other tongues after declaring "my season is changing." Tomorrow is Glory Friday with the mantle. Sunday is "Rule in the midst of your enemies." The close was Psalm 91:1-2 and fourteen persons told, "Your season is changing."

1. June is kairos, not only a calendar turn. The sons of Issachar knew what Israel ought to do. Wisdom, insight and a new posture are the demand of a new season. Do not be casual when the door of destiny is open.
2. A new season without a new posture still looks like the old. New wine cannot sit in an old wineskin. God waits for a man before he releases rain. You can enter a new season and not bring forth.
3. Some season changes come with no pointer. You can step out under a bright sky and be soaked five houses later. John the Baptist described the coming season, then asked if Jesus was the One. Do not let the change find you in ignorance.
4. When a season is about to change, the word tries you. Joseph was sent ahead, sold, laid in iron, "until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him." It is about the word, not about the season. Even if the season changes, credit it to the word.
5. Ecclesiastes 3:1 does not read "to every season there are things." The subject is "every thing." What you do, and what the enemy introduces, determines the season that follows. Ask not only "Lord, give me a new season," but "Lord, help me discern and do the things that make new seasons happen." Arrive without capacity and you will not even know you have arrived.
6. There is no accident in the spirit. Life is the sum of amens, prayers, scriptures that jumped at you, and times you read the word. God accumulates things until seasons must happen.
7. No new season happens without a sound, and a confused sound produces no season. Elijah heard rain before rain came. If the trumpet is indistinct, no one prepares for battle. The devil quotes real scripture. It is not every word that is your word. Discern by the witness of the Holy Spirit, not by what your body likes or what sounded good in your neighbour's ear. When your sound comes, a scripture or a Sunday word will not leave you.
8. You cannot get your real sound in anxiety. The rhema you get is the sum of the logos you have taken in. Study the word. A troubled heart that sleeps and "had a dream" has not heard God.
9. Seasons were first named next to light. Revelation is light, fellowship is light, the atmosphere of the spirit is light. You have no business with a changing season if there is no light. Walk in the light; do not only sit in it. Guard what touches the heart.
10. Transformation is transport by mind renewal. "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" was restated: renew your mind and you will be. The more the mind is renewed, the less anyone should look for you where you used to be. Unforgiveness and bitterness cannot stay; the wealth of nations is in the heart.
11. When God is about to send rain he says, "Show thyself." Cherith dried. Zarephath was a stage. Then: go show yourself to Ahab. That one word held declarations, the prophets of Baal, and a posture of prayer. Knowing the season is changing is not the same as showing up. Do not fold your arms. Last real fellowship on Monday night is not this season.
12. Your assignment carries other people. When God changes your season it affects everyone. Some are the light of the home, the pattern breaker, the one through whom a new season is breathed. Heaven has vowed you cannot fail because too many lives are connected.
13. God sends men: some with the word, some with the map, some with the evidence. One person may carry all three. Do not over-obligate the one who only came with a word and demand a map from his hand. If they speak the language of your future, chances are God sent them. Audit the circle: who should be fired, promoted, or left behind.
14. Your future is a gift, not a destination you earn or second-guess. Jeremiah 29:11: thoughts of peace, a future given. The gift can sit unused, like a television whose remote you never learned.
15. Season change is warfare. Herod moved at the birth of Jesus. The devil went after Peter and Paul. David stayed from battle and did not realize the hour. A contrary wind hits in the middle of the sea, which is where this year now sits. You are quarter to the new season, so the battle is fiercest. Do not lose steam, fire or passion.

• Ask for wisdom, insight and posture for the new season. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Do not be quiet when kairos is calling.
• Shout fire at dryness, blockers, prophets of Baal and every Pharaoh that would drag you back. Deploy angels. Ask the hand of God to carry you. Decree never again to the pain and shame of the old season. Kindle fire. Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Announce jubilee by the blood.
• Tell ten neighbours: "My season is changing." Tell forty neighbours the seasons are changing. Tell a neighbour: "Discern your sound." Scream "Show."
• Read Ecclesiastes 3:1. Discern the things you are doing. Pay attention to spiritual habits. Carry the capacity of the season you are praying for. Get the sound right. Walk in the light. Renew the mind. Guard the heart. Show up in prayer, declaration and assignment. Audit your circle.
• Give offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering.
