THE EXPLOITS OF A SENT MAN - PART 2

This Thursday Word & Fire service is Part 2 of The Exploits of a Sent Man. Worship opens on "To you we bow", "You are so mindful of me", "I have never seen a God as good as you", and "He never fails": what he says is what he does. The altar is framed as a night of becoming. Where two or three are gathered he is in the midst; where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. The house asks for deliverances, healings, changed stories and a new man in the order of Saul among the prophets. Recapping last Thursday from Mark 3, Jesus first called the disciples to be with him before he sent them. The opening cry is "Make me more like you" so a generation will take knowledge that you have been with Jesus (Acts 4:13).

Fire prayer then treats the night as a burning bush and a Damascus road. Gideon in the winepress, Moses with Jethro's flock, Ezekiel carried by the hand of the Lord: there is a sent man for your new season, for career, family and marriage. When sent men rise, five loaves feed five thousand, Lazarus comes out, dry bones become an army. The house thunders "Sent men are arising and I am one of them", "I am unstoppable", and "I arise with fire" in the order of Samson's three hundred foxes. Neighbours are told: you are the man for the assignment; go and conquer. A new season is announced: nothing missing, nothing broken.

The word is Isaiah 41:14-16. Heaven has always shopped for a sent man. No man to till the ground meant no rain. The devil fought Adam, Abraham, Isaac and David until God sent himself and gave his own righteousness, so sent men are justified by Christ, not by capacity. The day's picture is the new sharp threshing instrument: God mechanising the anointing so you are not beating grain by hand. You are a Jesus machine, held in his hand, co-labouring with the same chaff-and-wheat work John said Jesus would do. Satan wants the opposite sift. Prayer is the answer; the day you stop praying is the day purpose starts failing. The charge of the night is "I am a Jesus machine" and the mantle "new and sharp": newness that draws attention, sharpness that cuts, edges that work in more than one field. The service closes with a wave offering, Glory Friday for families, Sunday's theme The God of my journey, Psalm 91, and twenty-one neighbours hearing "Jesus machine."

1. Sent after being with him. Last Thursday's Mark 3 still stands: Jesus called them first to be with him, then to send them. Only men who have been like him can he send. Ignorance and lack of schooling do not cancel the Jesus effect. Weakness is converted when you spend time. It is a night of becoming and of a making.
2. Heaven is shopping for a sent man. From Genesis, rain waited because there was no man to till the ground. The absence of a sent man can obstruct what heaven wants to release. When sent men rise, bread multiplies, graves open and dry bones become an army. Creation is waiting now, not next year.
3. The devil fights whoever looks like the sent man. Adam, Abraham, Isaac, David: each was targeted, and several fizzled. God then sent himself and gave his righteousness, so he is no longer hunting for a righteousness you cannot produce. You are predestined, called, justified, glorified. Strength will not prevail; it is not of works. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Do not freeze over Moses' or Samson's failure; he already sent you, and the blood still speaks mercy.
4. You are a new sharp threshing instrument. Isaiah 41:15 is God switching from manual beating of stalks to mechanised farming: faster, more yield, less labour, global reach. He is mechanising the anointing. The same threshing floor John prophesied over Jesus is now your co-labour. Satan wants to take the wheat and leave the chaff; Jesus has already prayed. The day you stop praying is the day purpose starts failing.
5. You are a Jesus machine, held in his hand. The instrument is in his hand (Matthew 3:12). You do not operate yourself. You cannot malfunction or break down in his hands. Demons in the father's house do not leave one by one; when you open your mouth they clear at once. Tongues of men become tongues of angels because a machine is at work. He is the engine; what is powering you is bigger than how small you look. You are not man-made. "I will make thee."
6. See what he is doing, not only what he is not doing. An antichrist system only shows the gap. You may not be raising the dead yet, but anger has lifted, lust is not in charge, joy has become strength, you no longer campaign for validation. Take a few steps back and say, "Lord, I see."
7. New and sharp are not the same gift. New knives can be blunt; old knives can be sharp. A generation tires easily. Pentecost was new before Peter opened a sharp mouth and three thousand were cut. You need both: newness that pulls attention, sharpness that finishes the work. The Amplified reading adds sharp edges: cut in more than one field (business and career, healing and teaching). The grace is too big to minimise into one small thing. Bible in you can sound like boardroom wisdom.
8. Opposition is fuel. Persecution, lies and conspiracy become the fuel for advancement. The more they try to stop you, the faster, higher and bigger you become. You move by fire into office, father's house, marketplace, media and unfamiliar territory. You have dwelt on this mountain long enough.

• Pray in the Holy Ghost: "Jesus, make me more like you"; let your world take note that you have been with him.
• Receive the encounter that empowers sent men (Gideon, Paul, Moses). Align your path with the sent man for career, family and marriage; expect the phone call and the email.
• Thunder: "Sent men are arising and I am one of them." Take prophetic steps. Declare you cannot be tied down to what you have outgrown. Arise with fire against what the enemy planted in family, career and life.
• Grab one neighbour's hand: you are the man for the assignment; you have the grace, the anointing and the capacity; go and conquer.
• Walk up to seven neighbours and scream in their ear: "You are the sent man."
• Lift your right hand: "I love the word of God. It is the compass for my living."
• Tell your neighbour: "I was sent for this" and "I am a Jesus machine." Pray: "Make me a new sharp threshing instrument." Ask for the mantle of new and sharp, not new only, not sharp only.
• Honour God with offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering.
• Share with your neighbour what blessed you tonight, including two words you will not forget; shout "Jesus machine."
• Walk up to 21 persons and scream in their ear: "Jesus machine."
