THE EXPLOITS OF A SENT MAN - PART 1

This Thursday Word & Fire service is Part 1 of The Exploits of a Sent Man, framed as the foundation of who a sent man is. Worship opens hungry for presence ("We are hungry for your presence Jesus"), then "What a mighty God we serve", "You are great", the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and a long stretch of "This God is too good", "Why should I fear when I have you", "All my life you have been faithful", and "Your goodness is running after me." Opening prayer asks the King of Glory in, the river that makes glad the city of God, eyes and ears opened as the word becomes a compass for destiny, and the capacity of a man of exploit. The cry of the night is "I am a sent man."

Fire prayer treats May as more than a new month: Papa's word is that it is a new season, May to December as a season of birthing and exploit. Sent men are told to rebuild waste places over the father's house, to be the lad with bread and fish whom Jesus uses to feed a generation, and to answer Isaiah's "who shall I send" with "here I am, send me," so God will not search for a man while they are standing there (Ezekiel 22:30). Ordinary becomes extraordinary, natural becomes supernatural, Jonah is refused, vacancies are occupied from Nigeria outward, and fire falls in the order of Elijah until the house looks like the Consuming Fire who sent them. Fourteen neighbours are told "I am a sent man."

The word is an introduction, not the full series. The house stands and reads Luke 9:1-6: Jesus called the twelve, gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases, and sent them to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick. From creation God has looked for a man; when the dominion mandate was stolen, the Son of God became the Son of Man. When there is no sent man, hell prevails, the gospel looks like a story, occupy has no witness, and signs and wonders have no human mould. The sent man is you, in the marketplace as much as behind a microphone. Five things are drawn from the reading: he called them to himself first (there is no sending without calling); he gave power and authority; that authority is over all devils; it is to cure diseases whose root is often demonic; then he sent them with a kingdom word. The night lands on "It begins with him" and closes with a wave offering, Glory Friday and Sunday announcements, Psalm 91, and fourteen people hearing "I am kingdom."

1. God is still looking for a man. From the first dispensation he has been interested in a man. When the dominion mandate was stolen, the only way to save man on this side of eternity was through man, so the Son of God became the Son of Man. Jesus later looked for men: the twelve, the 120, the multitude. He even went after Peter who had gone back to the boats. At his departure the commission was "Go ye."
2. When there is no sent man, hell prevails. The church's manifestation is limited, the gospel looks like a story, opposition to God's principles is free, occupy has no witness, gifts and fruit of the Spirit have no human mould, signs and wonders look as if they have stopped, and heaven may not find a route to release resources to mankind. The sent man is you. The commission did not begin and end with those who hold a microphone. Marketplace saints are as sent as pulpit saints. Tongues without sense produce empty results.
3. Where you are now is a sent place. An appointment letter did not just happen; you are a sent man in that office, even if you will not stay long. Among siblings who are already born again, you still know what they do not know. Heaven is watching: everything that pertains to life and godliness has already been given. Hand fallers are not allowed in the kingdom. Parenting that looks unusual (fasting, prayer, declarations) is because heaven made you father or mother of a generation it wants to raise.
4. Purpose, assignment, and milestone. The journey becomes crushing when a sent man does not know why he was sent, what he is to do, and what must be recorded in a set time. Not every place is your place; not every journey is your journey. Finding purpose makes you the centre of attack; much of the attack is a sign you are doing the right thing. If a believer only sits in church and goes home, Jesus died in vain. Your greatest platform is often the office; your greatest podium is often the industry. Some are sent to build atmospheres that convict without many words. Some are sent to take back gates demons have hijacked. You were not sent to be depressed about the family pattern; you were sent to reverse it.
5. There is no sending without calling. Luke 9 opens with "he called them." Mark 3:14 is the frame: he ordained them first to be with him, then to send them. The first calling is not a calling to do; it is a calling to Jesus. The substance of being sent is how much of the Lord you are with. In being with him flesh dies, you learn that down at his feet is the most high place, principles are formed, and the vessel that will carry the oil is built. God can send a man; a man can send himself; demons can send you. Heaven wants men who stay, know his heartbeat, and understand what he is doing now.
6. The Jesus effect cannot be copied. Acts 4:13: unlearned Peter and John were recognised as companions of Jesus. Night praying in the Spirit, opening the scriptures, fellowship and deepened communion are spending time with him. Those who will not be with him chase his acts; those with him know his ways (Moses versus Israel). You cannot speak for a compassionate God in bitterness. If you know him, some fights you will not pick, because you recognise the finger of God.
7. Power and authority are not the same. Power is raw capacity to influence and make change. Authority is the legitimate structure for using power. Power without authority is illegitimate. The kingdom of darkness has power, but it is not legit. The believer's structures are the name of Jesus, identity in Christ, the blood, and the word of faith in the mouth. Many believers have power and do not understand authority, so a random miracle excites them and cannot become a lifestyle. No believer is powerless (John 1:12); what the devil fights is your confidence in the authority you already have. The policeman illustration: he may have power to arrest, but without ID and warrant he has no authority you must obey.
8. Over all devils, then diseases. The word is all. Do not keep a private conversation that God can do this but not that. Authority over all devils comes before curing diseases, because some sickness is rooted in demonic manifestation. God cannot be tempted with evil; he did not give you cancer. Go home and put power and authority on the cycles, patterns, premature-death threats and afflictions the devil has been reciting.
9. Stay with him; then go with the kingdom. He did not call them in order to send them first. He called them to himself. Stay: presence is moulding you, polishing you, making you a sharp threshing instrument, incubating you, working in you to will and to do. Mary would rather sit and hear, even if all he said was "Mary, I love you." After that he sent them to preach the kingdom: not only "repent, the kingdom is at hand," but righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost, demonstration of power, the earth filled with his glory. The kingdom is within you. A believer who does not understand kingdom is a dangerous connection (me, myself and I). Kingdom people intercede so the kingdom will not suffer loss, insist believer businesses announce the kingdom, and refuse reports, anger and associations that do not look like kingdom.

• Pray in the Holy Ghost; stir the spirit man; be intentional, not casual (casual in this atmosphere becomes casualties).
• Say "here I am, send me" over family, father's house, business and industry; refuse to be present while God is still looking for a man.
• Decree: such as I have; my ordinary has become extraordinary; I am not Jonah; I have arrived at the place of my birthing; I occupy; wherever I show up, signs and wonders; let the fire fall; I come in the name, power, fire, glory and wisdom of the Lord.
• Walk up to 14 neighbours and scream in their ear: "I am a sent man."
• Tell your neighbour: Jesus called them to himself; it begins with him; power; authority; we are kingdom.
• Spend time with him: night praying, scripture, fellowship, deepened communion; stay at his feet.
• Go home as a sent man and put power and authority on whatever the devil has been using to afflict you.
• After the word, share with your neighbour what blessed you tonight.
• Honour God with offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering.
• Pick up a testimony form at the inquiry desk and submit it before Sunday.
• Be part of the church building project; materials are at the emporium.
• Walk up to 14 persons and scream: "I am kingdom."
• Close with Psalm 91: I am dwelling in the secret place of the most High.
