I AM ANOINTED FOR THIS - PART 9

This Thursday Word & Fire is Part 9, the close of the series I Am Anointed For This, and it falls on the last day of April. Worship is long: Great are you Lord, You are holy, We give you glory, I will exalt you Lord for you have lifted me above my enemies, Your banner over me is love, From the rising of the sun, Jesus your name is greater, What a God, Have you seen the Lord?, This music is more than a melody, and I am a product of your grace. An opening voice (Arroi thanksgiving, last day of April, stepping into May) has the house refuse to enter May the same way it started January, and pray: "Oh Lord, as I step into May, I arise… I change the systems. I turn the status quo. I do the impossible." The cry of the night, shouted to neighbours and through the fire, is "I am anointed for this."

Fire prayer treats the remaining hours of April as last-minute exploits and last-minute wonders. Negativities that plagued April expire by fire. Destiny is aligned to divine timing, the set time to favour Zion. Powers that manipulate the times of men and that short new months so great men never enter them are called liars. The house comes in the volume of the book to do his will, in the order of Joseph (sun and moon bow; time bows), and asks for a holy restlessness so May does not start the way April is ending. Weights, besetting sin, pressure, bondage and captivity are shaken off (Paul's viper, Esau growing restless). Kings are rebuked: touch not mine anointed. Battles that lingered from January through April, in career, health, finance, and the father's house, must end the way David appeared on the fortieth day and Goliath's battle ended. They run toward Goliath, cut off the head, shout "the Lord has given us the land", and walk up to forty neighbours screaming "It has ended in praise."

The word is framed as a culmination of the whole series. The house stands and reads Luke 1:26-38: Gabriel sent to Mary in Nazareth, highly favoured, the Lord with her, blessed among women; she will conceive Jesus; the Holy Ghost will come upon her and the power of the Highest will overshadow her; with God nothing shall be impossible; "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word." They put their own names in that last line. Live illustration (Pastor Genevieve as Mary, Pastor Carol and Dr GMA in the lineages): Mary was not of David's house, but by engagement to Joseph prophecy found her. Connection and positioning matter more than extra fasting if you are in the wrong place. Gabriel's greeting is not small talk; it is impartation: favour, presence, power. Mary found favour she was not looking for. When man is missing, the substitute is the Holy Ghost. The night closes with a wave offering, May 1st new-month instructions, Sunday and Women's Day announcements, Psalm 91, and fourteen people hearing "Holy Ghost."

Theme and timing

• Theme: I AM ANOINTED FOR THIS - Part 9, the close of the series, at the Thursday Word & Fire service, 30 April 2026. Named as both the last Thursday and the last day of April.
• Sub-theme of the reading: Mary's encounter in Luke 1, especially "What manner of salutation is this?" and "How shall this thing be, seeing I know not a man?" Answer: the Holy Ghost, and the power of the Highest overshadowing.
• Tomorrow (Friday 1 May): first-of-the-month prayer. "No one begins a new month in laxity without the Holy Ghost." Write a list of all you want to see in May, and a list of what you do not want to see again. Come with your mantle. Drag everyone along; tell someone to tell someone.

• Last-minute exploits and last-minute wonders in the remaining hours of April: in life, family, and health.
• Battles that have lingered from January to April (career, health, finance, father's house, uncles' battles; some named as 5 years, 3 years, 2 years, 6 months) must end on this last day of April, in the order of David on the 40th day.
• First 7 days of May: evidence, laughter, rejoicing.
• First 5 days of May: harvest of the prayer seeds sown in April. "Hear me as I hear the Lord. Things are going to happen so fast. Your head will swim. One thing fast on the heels of another… Everywhere you look, blessings."
• "May you find favour that you are not looking for," as Mary found what she was not looking for.
• Contentions in destiny as May arrives: overshadowed so that when they look they do not see you, and when you speak they do not hear you.

1. The oil is identity, not cosmetics. After weeks of this series, if anyone asks whether you are anointed, "tell them to check your head." The oil is not what you did; it is who he is. God found David and anointed him; David did not find the oil. Do not read that scripture upside down.
2. The oil is for an army, not a show. That army must rise beyond church walls, in the marketplace and on every mountain of influence. Too many people can do what you do; the difference is the oil. You cannot function by the will of the flesh or the ideas of men. You do not want to show up in the marketplace and have an unbeliever talk you out of business, or command a demon that then stays.
3. Do not stop until Jesus is the standard. Until everyone is healed and delivered, until your estate knows Jesus, until Jesus is exalted in your industry, until righteous men ascend the peak of your endeavour, until the word of God is the standard in business, until nations submit to the lordship of Jesus. "The oil is not for a joke."
4. Prophecy is authentic; positioning is priority. Mary was not of David's lineage. By engagement to Joseph, prophecy found her. If she had cut the engagement, she would have missed a word that belonged to the house of David. Six-hour prayers and seven-day dry fasts will not deliver if you are not connected. Sometimes it is not lack of capacity; it is lack of the right connection. Birthplace, father's house, and old circles cannot deliver your prophecy. God pulls you by the hand to the place where what he said becomes real.
5. Do not joke with your Joseph. You have a right to walk away until destiny arrives. Then you do not have a right to rewrite the script. The grace to make it happen is on that connection. Disconnect and you may go around another ten years. Jesus wept because they knew not the time of their visitation.
6. Interrogate "what manner of salutation is this?" Gabriel did not need to introduce himself. Mary's shock was the kind of greeting. There is always a day when church and Bible study feel different: a burden to pray more, a 7-day or 14-day assignment, a full fast, a scripture to read, midnight prayer, a 40-day set-apart. Dreams of children handed over, a prayer to command nations to open, sudden tongues when you were not even praying: do not throw them away. Heaven is saluting a mortal with a greeting bigger than them. You know it is God when what he says is bigger than you; people will tell you to calm down.
7. Favour, presence, power is the template of movement. Gabriel's three lines are not greeting; they are how men make it: highly favoured, the Lord is with thee, blessed (empowered to prosper). Some situations answer to favour and never to power; some answer to power and wait for favour. There are powerful men who are not favoured, and favoured men who are not powerful. Smile and charm will not open every gate. Between power and favour he put his presence.
8. Power your favour; do not only celebrate it. After a yes, go home and take charge, because while men slept the enemy came and changed the equation. A man who understands power is favoured even by people who do not like him. Mary's favour did not stop Herod; Joseph had to run until Herod was dead. "I know I said she's highly favoured, but favour is not enough. Right now it is a matter of power."
9. Relationship with the Holy Ghost comes before the power that overshadows. The text is not the other way around. New Testament believers already have the Spirit within; bodies are his temple. Without that relationship, "you will be the one that will overshadow yourself." Everyone on earth is being overshadowed by something: if not the Highest, then demons, or a human being. Overshadowing means cover: they will see his power, not you. That is why Joseph could not put Mary away.
10. When man is missing, ask the Holy Ghost. Mary's question was "How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" Heaven's answer was not another man. "The substitute for man is the Holy Ghost." If man has failed, if ideas have run out, if thinking has failed, if you do not know whether to start with warfare or supplication: Holy Ghost. This one is not humanity and not discipline; this one is Holy Ghost. The answer to every absence of man is the Holy Ghost.

• Thank God on the last day of April, and refuse to step into May the same way January started or April is ending.
• Pray last-minute exploits and last-minute wonders over the remaining hours of the month.
• Align destiny to divine timing; call powers that manipulate times and that abort new months liars.
• Ask for restlessness and hunger; shake off weight, sin, pressure, bondage and captivity.
• Choose one lingering battle (career, health, finance, family line) and insist it ends tonight, in the order of David and Goliath.
• Walk up to 40 neighbours and scream "It has ended in praise."
• Remind the devil: he took nothing; the promise is still sure; every prophecy will still happen.
• Stand for Luke 1:26-38; put your name in Mary's line: "Behold the servant of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word."
• Walk up to seven neighbours and tell them "You are anointed for this."
• Stay connected to the Joseph God has assigned; do not walk away in anger before the purpose of the connection marinates.
• When an encounter does not feel normal, interrogate it and obey the specific instruction (fast, scripture, midnight prayer, 40 days).
• Make favour, presence, power the daily operating prayer: enter favoured, then take charge over powers that want to rubbish that favour.
• Pray: "My father, overshadow my life" until you are too overshadowed to be normal.
• Call on the Holy Ghost as the answer when man, ideas, and strength fail.
• Give 60 seconds of intense speaking in the Holy Ghost; later take another moment in the language of the Spirit.
• Bring offering, tithe and partnership as a wave offering.
• Close with Psalm 91, then walk up to 14 persons and scream "Holy Ghost" in their ear.
