FINISHING POWERFULLY [PART 3]

The service opened with a long worship set ("Great are you Lord", "Show me the size of your God", "Blessed assurance", "What a beautiful name"). Pastor Jerry then led into prayer on the series theme: the Lord has said we must finish 2025 powerfully. As God told an aging Joshua that "there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed", he declared that God is not done yet: there remains a celebration, help, promotion, family settlement. The congregation prayed: "Oh God, whatever I need to finish powerfully in the remaining days of 2025, Lord, send it my way. Send my word, send my instructions, send my help, send my king makers."

The fire prayer that followed moved through a string of themes. "He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness" (Romans 9:28): finish the work in my health, my family, no carryover. "Break their teeth in their mouth" against every voice speaking against carrying the evidence of the finished work. Isaiah 66: as soon as Zion travailed she brought forth, so turn 2025 finishing victoriously and enter 2026 gloriously, against "demonic midwives" in a transition season. The blood of Jesus over November to December, a new name, "magnified by Arroi", "it will end with celebration" (the wedding feast "must hold"), "better, sweeter, richer" as at Cana, "brighter" (Proverbs 4:18), and "higher". He declared the remaining days to be days of honor, celebration, revival, acceleration, harvest, alignment and good news.

Words of knowledge came mid prayer: hepatitis and passing blood, insomnia, bone fractures, depression and bipolar attacks, a spirit of fear of death, recurring frustration dreams, and "old people's diseases" afflicting the young. He said something will shift in a father's house within 48 hours. He then reminded first timers that the church is called Streams of Joy: "my joy is my weapon".

The message came from 1 Kings 13:11-26, the man of God from Judah who prophesied against Jeroboam's altar and was then deceived by the old prophet of Bethel. Pastor Jerry drew several lessons. The "old prophet in Bethel" is anyone in the house of God whose mindset, habits, speech and expectations are still old; such people are dangerous because they can end your journey. The suggestion of the enemy is not your mistake; following it is. "I am a prophet as thou art" is an attempt to mix old and new and dilute a fresh grace: "You are not like them." Completion is not finishing: the young prophet completed his assignment at the altar but had not finished, because finishing means returning to the One who sent you. He was caught because he sat down; a mover is not dodging arrows, the arrows simply cannot reach a person moving the way God ordered. He sat under an oak, a symbol of strength, so do not rest on your strength (Samson on Delilah's lap). And there is a contention for your appetite: "everything is not food."

The service closed with a wave offering of offerings, tithes and partnership, the announcements for the Friday grand finale, Sunday, the anniversary and the crossover night, and a declaration of Psalm 91:1-2 over the congregation: "You are finishing powerfully."

1. God is not done with you in 2025. Whatever has your name on it in the remaining days is yours to carry; refuse any carryover into 2026.
2. God is the Alpha and the Omega, so endings matter to Him. Better is the end of a thing than its beginning.
3. The presence of God in you is a magnet. Things do not gravitate towards you when you lack the capacity of the Spirit that draws them, as the crowds kept coming to a plain John the Baptist.
4. The "old prophet in Bethel" is anyone in the house of God still holding old mindsets, habits, speech, expectations and family curses. Such people are dangerous to themselves and can end your journey. Examine whether you are the old prophet: if you are a new creature, stop talking and behaving like the old you.
5. The enemy's suggestion is not the mistake; following it is. The devil spoke even to Jesus after 40 days of fasting, so expect the voice, but do not follow a voice that speaks against God's will.
6. "I am a prophet as thou art" tries to mix old and new and dilute a fresh grace. You are not like them: raised to change your family history, cleanse your bloodline, carry a new mantle and cross the line where your father stopped. Family patterns (infertility, diabetes, frustration) are not your identity.
7. Completion is not finishing. You finish when you return to the One who sent you, and only He decides you have finished. Do not celebrate completion or rest in an unfinished assignment.
8. Keep moving. Arrows need to find you in one spot; a person moving as God orders is not dodging them, they simply cannot reach him. Every "amen" at a service was a movement away from something you never saw.
9. Do not rest at your place of strength. The oak was strength, and that is where the prophet sat down.
10. There is a contention for your appetite. On a journey, not everything that satisfies is food; some things bring leanness.

• Remind God of what He told you at the start of 2025, and "don't keep quiet".
• Declare the blood of Jesus over November to December, your father's house and your business.
• Reject old mindsets, old expectations, old levels, old associations and old voices; declare "He has made me new" and "I am not like them."
• Do not follow any voice, even a religious one, that speaks against God's will; remember this when you are about to send that message.
• Do not sit down at your place of strength: keep moving, keep praying, keep discerning, and guard your appetite.
• Tell your neighbor "you will finish powerfully" and share what blessed you.
