YOU ARE THE BATTLE AXE OF THE LORD

The stream carries all four Sunday services at Streams of Joy Abuja under one theme, "You are the battle axe of the Lord", drawn from Jeremiah 51:20: "Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms." Each service opens with a worship set, prayers over the service, a "speak into the week" declaration for Monday to Saturday, and warfare prayer in tongues. The day's cry, repeated in every service, is: "I am the battle axe of the Lord." Pastor Jerry preached a different passage in each service, all through the battle axe lens.

First service (2 Kings 6:1-7, the borrowed axe head). The axe head that fell into the Jordan "was borrowed". Pastor Jerry warned against borrowed faith, borrowed tongues and borrowed conviction: "How you know you didn't borrow it is your persuasion." When the axe head came off, the son of the prophet cried, so he begged battle axes not to disintegrate, because a generation will cry if they break. Elisha threw in a stick so the iron would swim: throw away what does not matter (depression, anxiety, besetting sin, unforgiveness) so what matters can surface. He told how his mother taught him to use an axe: "The effectiveness of the axe is in who is holding you." The axe head sank because it had weight, so "it's either you have weight or you wait". The spirit told the sons of Sceva "Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you?"

Second service (Ezekiel 37:1-14, the valley of dry bones). God "set me down" in the valley. Ezekiel was not dropped there, he was positioned. The challenge is not the valley but how you are in it. The bones "said what they wanted to say" ("our bones are dried, our hope is lost") and ended there, so God told Ezekiel what to say. Verse 5 closes with a colon: God declares the end before verse 6 describes the process. "Man starts to finish, but God finishes to start." The people should declare the end and "rejoice for the end". The army "lived and stood upon their feet", and they were an army before there was any battle. "Don't just live, stand."

Third service (1 Kings 13:11-25, the young prophet and the old prophet). The young prophet broke Jeroboam's altar and was then undone by the familiar. His enemies traced "what way went he", so the pastor warned against predictable patterns: "Not just one way." Pray at midnight as well as at 5 am, and mix the word, tongues and warfare. John 3:8: those born of the Spirit are like the wind. He warned against the voice that says "go back", against "expired mentors, expired friends, expired associations", and against being fed by the altar you were sent to destroy. He also said that if a pastor ever feels expired to you, you are free to walk away: "We do not use church to chain people."

Fourth service (Jeremiah 51:20 as the anchor). A battle axe is lighter than a domestic axe, so "drop that load". A battle axe has no purpose without battles, and battles reveal greatness: without Goliath, a generation would question David's oil. God's kingdom comes after battle axes break the kingdoms of hell. The head must stay sharp, because "when a man loses his cutting edge, he becomes a joke in his generation." The axe works when the owner wants it, not on "public holiday". Herodias asked only for John the Baptist's head: "Not my head", meaning vision, hearing and speech. Only warriors could handle a battle axe, so not everyone can handle you. A battle axe is an offensive weapon: attack before the arrow, speak against cancer years ahead, and pray over ten houses in each direction. Unused iron gets rusty. An engineer in the congregation explained the fix: lubricate, sandpaper, then sharpen.

Testimonies ran in the first three services and included a two-year-old revived at Kubwa General Hospital on Wednesday 5 November, an earthquake in Turkey that struck during a family's MRI while the "O earth" prayer went up, a 24-year hemorrhoid healing, a court case over land money paid in full, and a visitor from Namibia. Every service closed with communion, the wave offering, the Furnace of Answers announcements, a welcome for first timers and new members, and Psalm 91:1-2.

Furnace of Answers (NSPPD this week)

• This week on NSPPD is the five-day Furnace of Answers, Global Fire Crusade, which he called a covenant week: "Whatever you ask of me this period, I will answer you."
• Bring a list titled "God of the 11th Hour" with seven heart desires, even if time seems to be running out.
• Bring a second list titled "This is not your house": every negative thing around you, your siblings and your family. Gather items from your brothers and sisters; there is no limit.
• Monday and Tuesday are covenant days of fasting, 6 am to 3 pm. He said two unique prayers are coming on Monday.

Communion

• First service: communion of answered prayer. He gave 30 seconds to tell God one answered prayer you want, then prayed against a demonic "smell" that drives people away and replaced "labour before result" with "favour for result".
• Second service: communion for those "alive but not yet standing" in their calling.
• Third service: communion of impossibility. Name one impossibility for God to step into.
• Fourth service: communion of a new beginning that opens joy, laughter, greatness and fullness.

Offering

• Every service: offering, tithe and partnership raised as a wave offering, with prayer that the devourer is rebuked and the windows of heaven opened.

Declarations

• "Speak into the week" declarations for Monday to Saturday in each service: battle axe with the seven spirits of the Lord, no more bluntness, breaking generational strongholds, "I am not Uriah", ruling at the gates, the sceptre of Judah.
• The 2025 declaration: "Nothing goes wrong around me, I walk in daily victory, my enemies scatter before they gather, before I ask he answers ... to the God that sees me (El Roi)". The worship leader noted "21 more days in November, 52 more days in 2025".

Testimonies played / recapped

• First service, a woman on her second day at Streams of Joy Abuja: her siblings earned "peanuts". Before Pastor Jerry's birthday her brother got a six figure NGO job, and her sister also moved to six figures. She had been squatting in her office, sleeping on tables and the floor with back pain, crying "El Roi, where is my job?" After 7am prayers she got a call for a job in Lagos at almost four times her pay, with accommodation, transport, daily feeding, pension and HMO.
• Maya:
  • Her aunt was kidnapped. Maya keyed into a kidnap testimony on NSPPD, and the aunt was released that Friday.
  • Her elder sister in the US had a blood clot in the brain and was declared free on 22 August after a word on blood clots.
  • Her father, a politician and businessman stagnant since 2015, was appointed an ambassador for the African Union Agenda 2063 on 10 September 2025, the day of a word about global recognition. He has since returned from Addis Ababa.
  • The Spirit told her to give away her shoes, and she walked back to church barefoot. Weeks later her convoy crashed on the way back from a wedding in Lagos, at 7:07 am as she was about to join NSPPD. Others were badly hurt; she felt her bones "cracking back together" as she recalled the altar's words.
  • Later a large clot of blood came out of her nose without surgery. Her dislocated shoulder was healed after a word on Thursday.
• Chidima:
  • In 2022 she had an intestinal obstruction and spent three weeks on IV. After a word that intestinal obstruction be reversed, surgeons opened her and found nothing wrong.
  • She came off her last blood pressure drug after a word on high blood pressure.
  • She was laid off in February, when about 75% of her industry was let go. On 28 August came the word "who moved your answers from September to October 2026, be reversed". On 24 September she put her termination letter on her television as the altar prayed, and at 6 pm her boss called her back with everything restored, including her HMO.
  • A closing remark from the platform: babies declared dead in the womb in a 2022 prophecy are now three years old.
• Second service, a woman whose mother had lumbar spondylosis: the mother had two operations in Abuja and was taken to Turkey for a third. During her MRI an earthquake struck, at the same time as the Wednesday "O earth" prayer on NSPPD. No life was lost, and the family held a thanksgiving.
• The same woman's second testimony: Dr. and Mrs. Charles Yunusa (her brother is a lecturer at Covenant University) had a caesarean baby who stopped breathing and was rushed to the LASUTH ICU. After the word "that baby in ICU will not die", the baby was discharged healthy while other babies had been there for months.
• Sunday (name uncertain):
  • He vomited blood and visited about ten hospitals with no diagnosis. After a word about exactly that, a repeat endoscopy and colonoscopy found chronic acid reflux, which was reversed at the altar.
  • Later his abnormal liver enzymes, enlarged kidney, high sugar and high blood pressure (he was told to start insulin) normalised after words from the altar.
  • His mother, in her 70s, was scheduled for urgent surgery for an enlarged liver and gallstones. After a word from the altar, the rescan was clear.
  • His family feared building at home after the breadwinner died, but he built a seven-bedroom duplex in eight months, is dedicating it in December, and has bought more land.
• Karen: she had hemorrhoids from SS1, with surgery in 2018 and a relapse in 2020, and joined the altar in September 2020 refusing another operation. On 7 September 2025, while working in the testimony unit, she keyed into a man's testimony of healing from 21 years of hemorrhoids. She has had no pain, bleeding or inflammation since, and gave God praise for healing after 24 years.
• A father, lifelong Anglican:
  • On Wednesday 5 November his two-year-old son did not wake and was taken to Kubwa General Hospital, where a doctor said there was no life.
  • He played "Oh Lord, show me mercy" from NSPPD at the boy's ear, declared "O earth, you will not receive my son", sprinkled communion, and told fear, "Pastor Jerry is not dead, why will my son die?"
  • The boy warmed up, cried and called "Mommy". In the same ward, a baby who had not cried, urinated or passed stool for five days began to do all three, and that baby's father paid the testifier's hospital bill.
• Third service, a woman (possibly "Juliet"): she had bled for over two years. A doctor who is an NSPPD member found a hidden fibroid and recommended surgery. In January 2024, while getting up for NSPPD in the village, clots of blood passed. There has been no bleeding since, with no surgery.
• A woman and her fiancé: a land purchase ended in a court case over a refund, and the fiancé suffered spiritual attacks (his spirit leaving his body, shaking as if electrocuted, fear of death). Words from the altar matched each attack, and they joined the July mid-year fast. At the final hearing (11 August) she played NSPPD silently in court. Within a minute of her saying "nothing missing, nothing broken", the lawyer said the seller had paid the full balance. Separately, an ovarian cyst was gone at a scan about a week later.
• A woman from Namibia: she joined NSPPD in January 2023 during the fast.
  • Her daughter had worn glasses since age five. She dropped them in December 2023 and now reads from the back of the class.
  • She runs a cleaning business. After being unable to afford entry to a green hydrogen summit last year and handing out cards outside, this year she gained access and was a nominee in a "future leader" award category.
  • "Namibia greets you."

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

• First service prayer:
  • Epilepsy and seizure, arthritis, prostate enlargement and mental sickness reversed.
  • Evil patterns affecting more than one family member broken.
  • "The voice of cancer will not have the last say."
  • "You will not end up 31st December where you are."
• Second service prayer:
  • Curved spines made straight.
  • A growth under the tongue reversed; pus coming out of a breast reversed.
  • Cancer of the lymph nodes yanked away; diabetic retinopathy reversed.
  • "You don't know where your eldest brother has been for the past 15 years. In the next 48 hours he will come back home."
• Second service: "The glory of November shall be greater than the former."
• Third service: "Before the 20th of November, somebody under the sound of my voice, the ends of the earth will know that the grace on your life is uncopyable."
• Fourth service: vision, insight and foresight stolen by the "spirit of Herodias" restored. He also prayed against any seed or cell of cancer incubating to arise one to five years from now.

1. You are God's battle axe, his weapon of war (Jeremiah 51:20). The assignment is territorial: through you he breaks nations and destroys kingdoms, meaning the systems of hell and negativity.
2. Do not borrow your faith. A borrowed conviction breaks under pressure; a persuaded one keeps going through tears. "I didn't borrow my faith, my fellowship, my prayer life, my joy."
3. Do not disintegrate. A generation will cry if you break. "No matter what happens, don't break."
4. The effectiveness of an axe is in who holds it. Be held by grace and fire, not by fear, anxiety or a wrong circle.
5. Carry spiritual weight, and drop dead weight. "Either you have weight or you wait." At the same time, a battle axe is light: lay down the burdens and unforgiveness he told you to cast on him.
6. Battles do not mean God has left you. They are where a battle axe is proved, defended and announced. "If there was never a Goliath, a generation will question the anointing of David."
7. God sets you in the valley; he does not drop you there. Speak what God says, not what the bones, the economy or the office say. God declares the end before the process, so rejoice for the end.
8. Do not just live, stand. Standing is taking possession.
9. Do not be predictable, do not go back, and beware of the familiar: expired mentors, friends and associations, and the altar you were sent to destroy.
10. Keep your cutting edge. Your cutting edge is your distinction in church and in the marketplace. Unused iron rusts; oil, sandpaper and sharpening restore it.
11. A battle axe is offensive. Do not wait for the arrow; go ahead of the enemy in prayer.

Today / this season

• Declare "I am the battle axe of the Lord", tell your neighbours (six or seven, then 14 people at the close), and shout it until your amen "sounds like a weapon".
• Throw away the "stick": depression, anxiety, besetting sin, malice and unforgiveness.
• Check your weight: how you studied the Bible and prayed this week.
• Declare the end of your situation over your family, finances, health and children, and rejoice for it.
• Watch your words: before speaking, ask "Is that what God is saying?"

• Before you sleep tonight, pray over ten houses to your right, left, front and back that no territorial spirit or witchcraft operates there.

• Pray: "Father, whatever you are doing this week, I am available. Make me the example that you answer prayer."
