WHEN GOD SHOWS UP [COMMUNION SERVICE]

This is the whole Sunday at Streams of Joy Abuja: four services under one theme, "When God Shows Up", each with its own worship, prophetic declarations for the week, testimonies, a sermon from a different passage, communion and announcements. The worship team opens with "We lift your name", "He is the Lord, he changes not" and "We come in the name of the Lord", and the congregation prophesies Monday to Saturday in the order of Joseph, Cana's better wine and the house of Esau set on fire. Pastor Jerry's opening cry sets the tone for the day: "When God shows up, Jezebel must die... red seas are divided... dead things come back to life."

First service (1 Samuel 17). David and Goliath. Goliath had no covenant, so his curses had no power; a believer under the blood of Jesus carries empowered words, and it is "an error for a covenant child to meet a Goliath and close his mouth." God has routed his showing up through the people who carry him: "The only way for God to show up in my generation is for me to show up." Eliab told David what he lacked and Saul gave him what he did not need, and both would have stopped him. David looked so simple that Goliath called himself a dog. He came "in the name of the Lord of hosts", named Goliath's expiry date ("this day"), cut off the head that kept talking, dealt with the host behind it, and did it "that all the earth may know there is a God in Israel."

Second service (2 Kings 4:1-7). The prophet's widow. Her husband feared the Lord and still died owing, because fearing God is not the same as expressing the oil. The oil is the Holy Spirit already inside you, "not decoration, it is for expression"; it multiplied only as it was poured. Every empty vessel and every "no" becomes a demand on your oil. Borrowed vessels go back once the oil has multiplied. Shut the door, because people need to see the result, not the process. Then sell the oil: destiny is transaction, turn the oil into what your generation pays for, and "don't eat what you are supposed to sell" or grow vanity instead of value.

Third service (Luke 8:41-56). Jairus. The pastor opens with "Arroi, reply them on my behalf" against mockers and libations. The girl died when her spirit left, so feed the spirit and not only the body. Jairus asked Jesus into his house because some things are only dealt with at the root, in the father's house. The mourners went from weeping to laughing, so Jesus put them out, and only after he had brought in Peter, James and John: "atmospheres incubate outcomes." When God shows up nothing is final, the kingdom has its own language ("she is not dead but sleepeth"), "fear not, believe only", and some miracles speak for themselves without you telling anyone.

Fourth service (Luke 15:11-32). The prodigal son, preached as "operation clean up" and a mentality reset. Stay in the house: the son inside never heard the complaint outside, and the father answered the elder brother for him. The son came home for food, but the father gave identity first (robe, ring, shoes). He came asking to be a servant, but sons do not work for what is freely given. Do not hide or explain away a blessing out of false humility. All the father needed to throw the party was his son near him.

Testimonies ran between the services. They included a woman healed of stage three cervical cancer, a boy who fell from a two-storey building onto a parked Hilux, the Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs (breast cancer without chemotherapy, a property judgment and a Birmingham mortgage), a promotion list that finally carried a woman's name, 15 years of contention ending in a national union presidency, permanent residence abroad by a dated prayer, a husband brought out of a two-week coma, and a seven-year leg wound tied to a spoken curse that closed.

Theme and timing

• Theme for all four services: When God Shows Up (communion Sunday), Streams of Joy International, Abuja, with an overflow.
• The worship leaders say 80 days remain in 2025 and call it "the first month of the last quarter".

This week on the altar of fire (NSPPD)

• Named in services 1 to 3 as the week of "the great and mighty works (wonders) of Arroi: the hand of the Lord did it". The pastor: "If there is any week to be lazy about on the altar, it's never this week."
• Monday: special and notable miracles; "the hand of the Lord took me there"; moving to the other side of your testimony; shake it off; heaven embraced me; congratulations.
• Special prayers on Monday for miraculous conception, marital settlement, kickstarting stalled major projects, against reduction, witchcraft attacks, delay, dream attacks, and demonic forces of the father's house and territorial limitation.
• The fourth-service announcer read a different script: "fullness of answers", the NSPPD global crusade, and a "Monday of all-round possibilities". It also said next Sunday's theme is "When God shows up" with communion, which is today's theme, so this block looks like last week's announcement read again.

Testimonies played / recapped

• Umora (name uncertain), Abuja: after a hard divorce in 2022 she let go of offences. She dreamt Papa poured a 50-litre bucket of oil over her and was given Isaiah 43:2. She bled every day from March to October 2024, never needing a transfusion, and was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer, treated in Lagos. The tumours kept moving and she kept prophecies on her wall. In her last brachytherapy session she opened an NSPPD replay whose first line was "You are not going back to that hospital." The follow-up results read normal, a complete response.
• A caregiver (New Jersey family): his boss's grandson jumped from a two-storey building during a dare. He landed on the bonnet of a Hilux that happened to still be parked because another car blocked it. He had internal bleeding and then a spinal cord issue. The man dreamt Pastor Jerry gave him a towel ("weep no more"). The spinal finding disappeared before surgery, after they connected to the NSPPD USA prayer conference. He was also cleared of the lie that he had pushed the boy.
• Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Edo State (name as captioned "BC Dia Square", uncertain): the morning after a breast cancer diagnosis Papa said "you will not have chemotherapy". Surgery followed and a PET scan in Lagos was clear. In England a missed lymph node surgery was done and the Oncotype DX test went her way, so no chemotherapy. A six-year fight for a house in England ended in judgment on 5 or 6 December 2024. At the crossover Papa said her name would be announced before 16 January, and she was made commissioner-designate on 15 or 16 January. A Birmingham flat faced losing her deposit as a politically exposed person. On 28 August Papa said "it is done", she told the lawyers and brokers so, and she was approved within 24 hours for about £197,000.
• Civil servant, promotion letter (she thanks her leader Lilian): a pattern of good news mixed with bad. Her name was missing from the December 2024 promotion list, a "network issue", and again from the September 2025 list when five others' names came out. She held to "your name is on that list, it cannot be deleted" and "instant", checked an office late on a Monday, and found her letter ready, backdated to 2024.
• National union president: a 15-year contention over a leadership position in her workplace body. Her daughter pushed her through the mid-year fast. The election was fixed for August and people rose up to campaign for her although 70 members of her department were away, and she won the national presidency. Earlier US visa refusals for a funded scholarship turned out to be God's redirection.
• Managerial promotion: after only six months on the altar he emailed his MD at the Holy Spirit's prompting, listing two degrees, three master's and seven professional qualifications against those who said he was unqualified. By July 2025 he was promoted, with higher pay and a brand new 2024 SUV.
• Patricia (grandmother): glaucoma diagnosed at National Hospital in 2017 is no longer found, confirmed in the US and in Abuja. Arthritis is healed. Her daughter in London conceived after six years of barrenness, after writing "What God cannot do does not exist" on her bed sheet and wall and surviving a spotting scare. The granddaughter was born 8 April. She arrived in Abuja "on zero" and now gives to charity.
• E. Thomas Odia, Lagos: on 4 December her daughter's tongue was cut in four in a fall from a wardrobe. She was fed communion, and within two weeks she was speaking ("What God cannot do"). Her son's blocked tear duct, booked for surgery, was healed after the "instant miracle" declaration three weeks ago.
• Immigration testimony (a husband abroad): seven years of attack abroad for him and his brother: illness, hair loss, failing school, removal. He was sent home with nothing while his wife was six months pregnant. On the mid-year fast he copied a testifier's "put a date" formula and printed his evidence. The wife's work permit came on his date of 15 July, permanent residence approval on 22 August (Pastor Jerry's birthday), and the passport was ready at VFS Abuja on his last dated week: "case closed."
• Mary, UK nurse: a congratulation every month of 2025. A visa in January, UK registration in March, a job offer called unofficially the same day, and an IELTS rewrite waived the day after Papa's 8 August declaration. A man "slid into her DM" after last year's mid-year fast, and the traditional marriage was on 3 August. A course rewrite for graduation was waived.
• Wife from Anambra State: her husband's malaria turned into seizures and a two-week coma in ICU. She gave him communion and anointing through his NG tube. On the mercy prayer day she sowed what she had. He moved within 10 days and was discharged from ICU. A philanthropist cleared a bill of over 400,000 naira within two hours, and paid it twice. He now eats by mouth and walks.
• Seven-year leg wound: a church deaconess cursed her in anger ("in years to come let your family not cry over you"). A dream of a mortuary followed and then a hot, swelling, rotting left leg from 2018 that no doctor, scan or native doctor could fix. She lost her marriage, her mother, her business and a son. She had bought a sniper (insecticide) to end her life when she heard a message on Joel 2:25. During the 2025 mid-year fast Pastor Jerry said "you had this affliction for seven years... this year was the year you were supposed to die", and at the UK conference "open wounds close". The wound closed. She came to Abuja in 2021 with 20,000 naira and now owns a house and a car.

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

• First service: a snake bite three years ago, still swelling with water and blood; a first and second son attacked with insanity; kidney disease; memory loss; a husband and wife who started epileptic seizures at the same time; a tumour at the back of a first daughter's neck; three major accidents in October alone; a long-awaited letter drawn to you. "In 21 days" a hanging crown sits on your head. "Before Thursday morning they will remember you." "Before Friday you will get there."
• Second service: "That accident is cancelled." "No woman here will become a sudden widow." Family members tied down are loosed. "That pneumonia that has refused to go is leaving right now." "In 5 days every emptiness (financial, career, business) is reversed."
• Third service: "Let the Lord reply them in 5 days." "Before the last day of October, let it become your evidence." "Before Monday is over, between 12 noon and 3pm, let your own sound of congratulations enter your house." In the prayer line: tumours melt, fibroids go, ovarian cysts disappear, respiratory distress, HIV and hepatitis give way.
• Fourth service: "There will be a sound of good news this October." "They will celebrate with you before the 21st of October." "First week of November... it will be your evidence." "May God bless you in a way you cannot hide."

1. When God shows up he works through covenant. A redeemed person cannot be cursed, and his or her words carry power, positive and negative, so do not keep quiet in front of Goliath.
2. God has chosen to show up through you. The part of God your generation has not seen is tied to the believer who has not shown up: in prayer, fellowship, assignment and boldness.
3. Beware both of the Eliab who lists what you lack and of the Saul whose kind help is too heavy to move in. Any help that does not look like God stays by the side. Keep it simple; the battle is the name of the Lord against every sword, spear and shield.
4. Cut off Goliath's head: the voice that talks in your mind is how an army is defeated before any fight. Go after what stands behind him too, and make it about God, "that all the earth may know".
5. Your prayer may be answered before it is seen; God may still be growing your capacity or teaching you to keep what he sends.
6. Uprightness alone did not deliver the prophet's widow. The oil (the Holy Spirit, the Zoe life) is for expression, and it multiplies only as it is poured. Every "no" and every empty vessel is a demand on it.
7. Some vessels are only borrowed for your multiplication; return them. Shut the door on the process and let people see the result.
8. Destiny is transaction: turn your oil into the value your generation needs, pay the debt before you enjoy the rest, and grow your value, not your vanity.
9. You are a spirit with a body. A starved spirit leaves the body without motion, so feed the spirit and also know when to feed the body.
10. Some matters need Jesus in your house, at the root, in the father's house. Atmospheres incubate outcomes: bring in people and sounds that agree with God before putting out the ones that laugh.
11. When God shows up nothing is final. Choose to believe rather than fear, never spread fear, and speak the kingdom language that confuses the neighbour.
12. Stay in the Father's house: what happens inside answers what is happening outside, and the Father replies the elder brother for you.
13. Relationship with the Father is identity before food, sonship not servanthood. What he has is freely given, so walk with shoulders high and do not hide his blessing behind false humility.

Today / this season

• Show up: send that email again, send that SMS once more, make that call again tomorrow morning, and shake off depression, spiritual laziness, fear and the pattern of your father's house.
• Speak up in the face of your Goliath; declare "It won't work" over every gathering against you and "I come in the name of the Lord".
• Express your oil this week: pray, fast, speak in tongues, lay hands on your sick child, and keep going even when people do not approve of you.
• Keep some things between you and God; do not publish your helpers or process.
• Check the atmosphere around you, including your staff, your company and the music you listen to, and carry your own atmosphere of prayer, mantle and oil.
• Feed your spirit man, not only your body.
• Take the communion in each service with its stated intent.
• Give offerings, tithes and partnership as a wave offering.
• Walk up to 14 people (later 21) and tell them "You will be congratulated this week" or shout hallelujah.
• First-timers: fill the usher's form. Those making Streams of Joy their church: stand for prayer. Pick up a testimony form to testify next Sunday.
