SUDDEN SUPERNATURAL HELP [CONGRATULATIONS SERVICE]
SUDDEN SUPERNATURAL HELP [CONGRATULATIONS SERVICE] || SUNDAY SERVICE || 31ST AUGUST 2025
Sudden supernatural help has come: God said "congratulations" over you before anything showed, the Lord has need of you, and what you need is already in the house, so stay in your place, power your light, and walk into September already chosen.
Auto-generated YouTube captions of the whole Sunday (all four services, about 8.5 hours); names, numbers and some places are reconstructed from ASR and marked where uncertain.
Summary
The last Sunday of August 2025 at Streams of Joy Abuja was a "Congratulations Service" under the theme "Sudden Supernatural Help", and also the church's celebration of Pastor Jerry's birthday (22 August). All four services ran with cake cutting, birthday songs, a church spelling-out of his name, and "Papa, we love you". Each service opened with a worship team declaration over the week ("we have now moved from the waiting list to the evidence list"), a violent prayer session against "congratulation hijackers" and "help blockers", and garments to tear: delay, rising and falling, closed doors, rejection, infirmity, obituary, cycles and patterns. The cry of the day: "My help has come... my season of congratulation has finally come."
First service (Mark 11:1-10). Pastor Jerry taught that the Hebrew barak ("blessed") means congratulations: God congratulated Adam before Adam had anything, so "be the first person to say to yourself, congratulations" ("Jerry, congratulations"). From the colt he drew a list of congratulation hijackers. It stood where two ways met: the devil offers options, God gives one clear direction ("this is the way, not these are the ways"). It was tied: envy, policies, family and financial limitations. It had three levels of relationship: owners who fed it but kept it tied (existence), disciples who untied it without giving it significance (transition), and Jesus, who gave it purpose (significance). It was tied by a door it never entered, which is why the disciples could find it, so a closed door can mean a bigger one is coming. "The Lord hath need of him" answers every "why" people raise, and "heaven does not use and dump". The colt walked a road it did not understand, the way Israel was led the long way round so it would not see war. And Jesus chose a weak baby donkey "so that you will never boast in your own strength": "already chosen", whatever class of degree you made. Those who went before and those who followed both cried "Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord", which in plain English means "congratulations to he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Second service (Matthew 25:1-13). A life of celebration demands a life of readiness, but you must prepare for the right thing. His first-year university story: he studied hard for the wrong exam. The foolish virgins' problem was not that their light went out (everybody's did) but that they left their place on another person's advice, so: "I will stay", in prayer, fasting and consecration. The wise had oil in their vessels: "what is powering you?" "Shine in the public, but power yourself in the private." A hunger for prayer is a sign you are about to break out ("as soon as Zion travailed"). The cry came at midnight: the night does not always run its full course. The wisdom of the wise was only good for them; get your direction from God, and "dare to be different". The bridegroom did not say "the door is shut" but "I know you not": "if I know you, the door cannot be shut", so the charge is to know Him (Philippians 3:10). This service also had a gift draw (20 packages hidden in seat pockets) and testimonies from Dubai, the UK and the Abuja to Kaduna train.
Third service (Luke 15:11-32). After a dramatised letter from "Apostle Paul" to Pastor Jerry (and a Gen Z "DM" version) answering the critics, plus four long testimonies, he gave a short word on the prodigal son. It was not where he went but the people he met. He was young, and immaturity wastes substance. A famine came and he had no capacity for the change ("no matter what changes, I will still be relevant"). There was no famine near the father, only far away. He wanted to work before he could eat, but the father feeds his son first. His own words ("make me a hired servant") were overruled by the father. The elder brother came back too late to object: "before they will know about it, it is already done". The ring and the robe were not bought, they were already in the house: "It's in the house."
Fourth service. This was the main birthday celebration: tribute videos from children, church expressions (New Jersey, New York and others), UK mayors and fellow ministers, a biography video (UN career laid down, houses for widows and the homeless, NSPPD born in the pandemic), and an on-stage interview. Three testimonies followed (a house bought, a Canada visa, a widow's house). Pastor Jerry closed with an extended blessing ("this birthday will not come and go and you will remain where you are... I shift you forward") and a personal prayer of thanks: "Thank you for helping a poor boy like Jerry... It all still looks like a dream... This is you, Elroy, the God who sees me." He then asked the church to give "because of me".

- First-timers and new members filled forms; Pastor Jerry also blessed visitors who had come from outside Nigeria and those who travelled for the celebration.
Birthday celebration
- Cake cutting with the church spelling his name letter by letter ("don't forget the hyphen") in every service.
- Worship medley of "Papa's favourite songs": the Yoruba song he switches to when testimonies sweeten him, "I am dancing around... to my Father and my Lover", "the Lord of hosts, the King of glory, Yahweh", and an Igbo song.
- A skit of church gossip ("they only go there for miracles", "testimonies seem fake"), answered by a dramatised letter from "Apostle Paul" ("if this work be of men, it shall come to nothing", Acts 5:38-39). It greeted Pastor K, Pastor Uguru (spelling uncertain) and Sister/Mommy Eno on the altar, followed by a Gen Z "DM" from Paul ("heaven got your receipt... that's on period").
- Children's prayer video for Papa (health, strength, true friends "like Aaron and Jonathan") and a biography video: he prayed from childhood, pastored fellow students, worked with the UN and resigned, built houses for the homeless and fed the hungry, and NSPPD was born in the pandemic.
- Tribute videos from church expressions (New Jersey, New York and others), from the mayor of "Densible/Dunable" (likely Dunstable, UK; caption uncertain), from Damola Ojuri, mayor of Ashby de la Zouch, and from fellow ministers. One was "Matthew Shimalo" (caption; likely Matthew Ashimolowo) with "five Fs": faith, favour, fire, future, finishing well.
- 2025 call-and-response declaration: "Nothing goes wrong around me... my enemies scatter before they gather... the God that sees me (Elroy)... Heaven and earth, my case is different."
Gift draw
- In the second service, 20 packages were hidden in the pockets of the red chairs. Each winner received a bag of rice with other goodies, with a tag reading "Congratulations" (the word he uses to close NSPPD). Winners take the tag as a gate pass to the GM's protocol after service.
Interview with Pastor Jerry (fourth service)
- On why 22 August became a day of testimonies (ITV in London asked him the same): there was no intention behind it. He asked God to give the people whatever He would give him, the testimonies became "unimaginable", and "my prayer point is my assignment".
- His watershed encounter: at about 10 years old, during a three-day dry fast at his old local church, he was lying under a bench when "Sister Lucy" (now "Mommy Lucy") pulled him out. She prophesied that God would use him for the nations, wept, had the church pray for him, and said "if these things don't happen, you will know I'm not called of God". That was over 30 years ago; she is alive and recently reached out through NSPPD, and he means to bring her to church.
- Spiritual discipline: a word from God is no guarantee without discipline and the crucible; "zero tolerance for mediocrity". He does not know what he will do at NSPPD tomorrow; he stays vulnerable and prays through the night because "someone is depending on my prayer". He gave the example of a woman whose sister had a seizure every five minutes after a brain injury in Enugu, who waited for 7:00 a.m. and heard that exact word.
- He has not had a holiday in five years. A prime minister of a country he had not heard of asked to reach him. "Ministry is not about being a celebrity... the only way I want to die is doing the work of God."
- Lessons of the past year: follow what He has shown you; never validate your assignment by applause; never second-guess the voice of God; let God choose your people; He needs you in His presence even when you have failed; when you relax, others are still working; God uses the available; you do not have the blueprint for the new season; the voice of God must be the loudest; never lose your joy ("when you lose your joy, you leak spiritual energy"); many answers you seek were given years ago; let people drink of your spirit; laugh, and stay around happy people.
- Ice breakers: he has not eaten swallow this year, is "not a food person" and has led a fasted life since January. He has been running for over 15 years and prefers it to the treadmill. Morning or night person? "I'm at the altar in the morning and I'm praying in the night."
Testimonies played / recapped
- University of Leeds law offer: a student's offer was conditional on AAA, but they got ABB in August. They held on to Papa's word on Wednesday 12 August ("you may not be qualified, but he will still give you your place") and to the word on Friday 15 August, when an email confirmed the place despite the grade.
- Hepatitis B reversed: a woman's former pastor had blamed her mother for her childlessness, so she stopped believing churches. She joined the altar on 24 June, did her first ever fast (21 days, then 14 days), was told she might have hepatitis B, saw Papa in a dream, used the oil prayed over during the fast, and on the Monday her follow-up test came back negative.
- Marital settlement in three months: a traditional marriage was cancelled in August 2024. She wrote down the man she wanted. A friend of four years proposed marriage and they joined NSPPD together. Papa said "in three months your wedding would have been completed". They married legally on 12 August, traditionally on 14 August and in church on 16 August 2025 (he is from Benue, she from Delta), with a reception in Makurdi.
- Mother healed, and 12 years of torment ended (Chima, uncertain): her mother was sick for 23 years (asthma, pneumonia, fatty liver), and she had hawked as a child to buy inhalers. After praying at the altar in Abuja, the mother left her drugs. Her knee and ankle pain went within a week, and after the UK conference a hospital report confirmed asthma, pneumonia, fatty liver, severe cough and knee pain all reversed. Separately, a single mother, she had 12 years of trances of her son dying. A figure told her to "join the fire altar"; on 16 May Papa said "you have perpetual fear that your son will die... nothing will happen to your son", and the trances stopped. Her son now plays football outside. Financial favour too.
- Dubai visa, marriage and deals (Chibuy, uncertain): while her HR was cancelling her blocked labour visa, she overheard "immigration problem" on the altar, and the visa was approved in four days. She met her husband on 31 December 2023; he proposed eight months later. As a property consultant in the UAE she had no deals from January to June 2025. On 31 July Pastor Uguru said "you will begin August with celebration", and that evening the deal she had chased for two months closed, followed by two more. It was her first time in church physically since 2018.
- UK bank restriction lifted and grammar school places: her account was frozen and the police were involved over the source of funds, with two months of solicitors and barristers. On her first time online she heard "God will do for you what lawyers cannot do", called the police herself, and the restriction lifted in 48 hours. Facing VAT on private school fees, she bought the full uniforms for a selective grammar school before the exam and wrote congratulation notes. After two months with no word, the head teacher said her two daughters were the only ones who passed. A year on, both were on the prize list.
- Abuja to Kaduna train derailment: a young woman finished NSPPD and took communion before boarding the 9:45 train to a conference. Her coach tipped but did not overturn; others were badly injured (one lost toes). The military evacuated passengers. Someone in Kaduna asked her church: "Streams of Joy." "A quiet girl like you, so you can pray violently?"
- From tenant to landlady (Rita, uncertain): served notice on 2 January to leave by 8 August, she asked for a house of her own with less than 10 million naira. The owner of a four-bedroom bungalow, a retiree from her organisation, sold it to her and let her pay the balance next year. She sat a promotion exam on 26 July with "Holy Spirit, let's write it together" (500 candidates, rumours only 200 would pass), was promoted on the list released on the 20th, and moved into her house on 23 August.
- Daughter's Canada visa (W, from Lagos): US student visas were refused twice (Lagos, 5 December, and Abuja, 31 December 2024). He held on to Romans 8:28 and applied to Canada as a credit transfer. The application was submitted on 16 July with a 12-week wait. On 15 August Papa said the call would come by 9:00 p.m.; at 9:30 p.m. Canada called with the approval. The stamp came on 28 August, and she resumes in 200 level at a university in Toronto.
- Widow's house (Reverend Ruth Genesis): a widow of 18 years with five children, harassed by landlords (light and water cut), was building a church before her own house when a storm on 25 November brought the church half down; she had sold her car to build it. Pastor Petro (spelling uncertain) called, inspected her land, and within three weeks a two-bedroom flat was built through Pastor Jerry's foundation, one of 18 for widows. She now holds church in its parlour.
- Summary of August from the worship leader: dry bones, prison doors, cancer reports and barrenness verdicts turned around through prayers in August.
Words of knowledge / healing declarations
- A discussion will come up about you between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. today, for your new season.
- "These hands will carry big things before the 11th of September."
- The thing bothering you about your second daughter has become a testimony ("whether first or second").
- Kidney failure reversed; girls (sisters) "put in a cage", crying with nobody coming, released.
- It was almost complete, then went wrong at the end: reversed. "Your case will be an exception."
- Peripheral neuropathy reversed; a tumour in the nose dried up.
- A family where someone becomes mentally sick every three years: refreshed and reversed. A pattern of a death in the family (caption unclear): "it will not happen again."
- "God will bypass protocol. They will not be consulted on this matter."
- An amputation cancelled; surgery planned on a liver reversed; draining of pus from the body reversed.
- A loved one in prison miraculously released; seats of witchcraft and destiny exchange in an office answered by fire.

- "I have shortened the time... it will happen earlier than expected."
- Whoever slowed down the speed of your children: take your speed back.
- Some will see it "by this time tomorrow", some in 3 days, some in 7 days.
Offering
- In every service he asked for an intentional thanksgiving seed on the last day of August, raised as a wave offering ("in the coming days you will understand all the things that happened in August"). In the fourth service he asked: "If there is nothing you want to thank the Lord for, please thank him because of me."
Important message
- Congratulation is God's first word over man. Barak, "blessed", is congratulations, spoken before Adam had anything. Do not wait for people to see it; prophesy it over yourself: "Jerry, congratulations."
- You are complete in Christ and already chosen. Perfection is by grace, not works, and God picks the weak colt so that no one boasts in his strength. Certifications, past mistakes and a third-class degree do not cancel the choice.
- Know the congratulation hijackers. Options at the crossroads, things that tie you, relationships that only feed you or only move you, and doors you were never meant to enter all stand between you and the new season. God gives one direction, not options.
- Seek relationships of purpose. Some people serve your existence, some your transition; pray for men "who relate to me from my purpose". Do not "roam with the chickens".
- Serving heaven's need guarantees relevance. "The Lord hath need of him" silences every "why", and heaven does not use and dump. Relevance is not by your wisdom or connections but by coming "in the name of the Lord".
- Readiness keeps the congratulation. Prepare for what God is actually bringing, not the wrong exam. Do not abandon your place on someone else's wisdom, and know what is powering your light: shine in public, power yourself in private.
- Night does not run its full course. The bridegroom came at midnight; lift your eyes instead of bowing your head and missing the moment.
- Knowing God beats an open door. "I know you not" is the real danger, not "the door is shut"; if you know Him, the door cannot be shut.
- What you need is already in the house. The father did not go to the market for the ring and the robe. Your own careless words and the elder brother's objections are overruled, and it is done before they know.
- Discipline, availability and joy. A prophecy does not fulfil itself without spiritual discipline; God uses the available, His voice must be the loudest, and losing your joy leaks spiritual energy.
