AUGUST SPECIAL NEW MONTH PRAYERS//5 DAYS OF THE WONDERS OF EL-ROI [DAY 5]

The fifth and final day of the "5 Days of the Wonders of El-Roi" fell on 1 August, so the whole service was a new month prayer over August. It opened with a long run of scripture songs (a new song, a new name, the glory of the latter house, an open door, "the Lord has made me laugh", the restoration of the years the locust ate, the Lion of the tribe of Judah) and moved straight into fire prayer: "The Lord has given me rest on every side. No adversary, no evil occurrence," and "no evil occurrence in August."

Pastor Jerry then prayed through the month in a string of prophetic pictures. From Paul's "great and effectual door" with many adversaries he declared doors that are both great and effectual. With Jeremiah's "what do you see?" he called out what the people would see from 1 to 31 August (favour, growth, celebration, increase, open heavens, financial increase, doors and gates opening), then called every date of August by name. He prayed against every boundary of limitation ("there can be more, there should be more"), declared "my soul has escaped" from what tied people down, and used Saul hiding among the stuff on the day of his showing forth to make the people shout "I cannot be covered." From there he moved to possession (wherever the sole of your foot treads), eagles' wings, the river out of Eden that broke into many heads, "no space" for the horns that scatter, Rehoboth ("the Lord has made room for me"), Ephphatha, and "justified and glorified" over every day of August.

The day's cry came in his closing declaration: "It shall be called the August of your back to back celebration. Back to back celebration, back to back good news, back to back rising." He put his calling on the line that no one would be disappointed in August, called it a month of rest after the labour of previous months, and announced that new month prayers continue on Monday with a specific focus on families. Pastor K, Clara and the team echoed it: testimonies "in one hour intervals," and August as everyone's birthday month because Pastor Jerry's birthday is on the 22nd.

The Friday testimony reel was all multiples: several women married after the "women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s" declaration, a couple delivered from six years of barrenness, three sets of twins, and an American overseer who saw a man on a ventilator open his eyes while Pastor Jerry's prayer played from a phone. A closing teaching recapped two raising testimonies from three weeks earlier, a woman declared dead who came back five minutes after the prayer and a brain surgery patient who woke and stood up, under the banner of "a revival of the strange acts of God."

The service closed with the salvation prayer, three birthday prophetic blessings, three communions, the Psalm 91 confession and the sevenfold "congratulations."

Testimonies played / recapped

• Marital settlement: after the "women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s" declaration, God sent her "odogwu"; traditional wedding 30 January (caption says 2020) and white wedding 1 February 2025.
• Marital settlement: a family where "it's like we are destined not to marry"; a man came in October last year, proposed quickly, and she married on 1 March this year.
• Widow of 17 years who had lost two husbands heard "collect your husband" in a 2024 prayer and fasting, set God conditions (from her place, a retiree, few children, peace). A widower met on Facebook married her: from her mother's maternal village, retired two years ago at director level, three grown children.

The wife dreamt in January 2024 of Papa saying "go and carry your baby"; at the August 2024 birthday prayer she received it and tested positive in October. Bleeding at 6 and 12 weeks; scan showed a live fetus surrounded by multiple fibroids but intact. Delivered safely, baby named Great Mercy.
• Twins, boy and girl: prayed during the 2023 birthday prayer, positive in September, delivered 7 June 2024.
• Twins, boy and girl: on the altar since the 2020 pandemic, wrote and dated her request; twins born July 2023 with no twins in the family.
• Twins seen after the birthday prayer: first scan showed one child; after asking for twins at Papa's birthday, the next scan showed two heads. During labour the doctor declared one baby dead; she prayed mercy prayers and the baby's heart started beating. Named Miracle, with her twin sister.
• American overseer (Atlanta): a friend's brother in a coma on a ventilator in Birmingham, Alabama. He held his phone at the door playing Pastor Jerry's preaching on resurrection power, then prayed and anointed him, and the man's eyes opened. He had also put the name in the live comments.
• Recap, word of knowledge from three weeks earlier: "someone is beside a dead woman; put the phone beside her." The mother, confirmed clinically dead hours before, did not respond at once; five minutes after the prayer she came back to life.
• Recap, brain cancer surgery: doctors said the husband would be unconscious about six months and may never walk. His wife said "What God cannot do does not exist," called his name, he opened his eyes, and when staff were removing the window blinds to move him out of ICU on a stretcher, he stood up on his feet.
