STEP OUT AND TAKE CHARGE - IT IS YOUR TIME [ANOINTING] SERVICE

STEP OUT AND TAKE CHARGE - IT IS YOUR TIME [ANOINTING] SERVICE || SUNDAY SERVICE || 8TH JUNE 2025

Full of the Holy Ghost, out of Jordan, close to the King and going in the might of "surely I will be with thee": step out, because it is your time, and you are in charge.

Auto-generated YouTube captions (about 8.7 hours, all four Sunday services at Streams of Joy Abuja, the fourth one also the church's Women's Day / Mother's Day celebration). Names, numbers and some scripture wording are reconstructed from ASR and marked where uncertain.

Summary

The stream carries the whole Sunday at Streams of Joy Abuja under one theme, "Step out and take charge, it is your time". Each service opens with worship, a prayer to "fill this house with your glory", a set of declarations into the week (Monday to Saturday), long prophetic prayer and then a different passage. The cry of the day, which he has the church shout seven times in the first service and carry into every closing, is: "I am in charge." He frames it as a declaration of dominion: "the one that is asking for help will become the one in charge." In the first service he prays over anointing oil ("oil of dominion... oil of distinction, oil of manifestation, oil of announcement, oil of divine remembrance") and has the church put it on their foreheads.

Service 1 (Luke 4:1-15) is about the temptation of Jesus. Jesus "being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan", and Jordan means descent: "anything that is called going down cannot keep a man full of the Holy Ghost", so what you are full of decides whether you stay in Jordan. Through the 40 days he was not hungry, because a full man has no appetite for what the devil offers; "fill me with what you want so that I will not be hungry for what I don't need." Bread is only an addition to a life you already have ("I'm already fine"). He groups the three temptations as appetite, dominion and vocation (do not worship what God brought, keep worshipping who brought it), and the temple, where the devil quoted true scripture with the wrong mindset. Service 2 (Esther 1) is Vashti, who would not step out when the king called her to show the kingdom. Her matter was decided in a meeting she never knew about, by men "which knew the times"; she lacked understanding of times and seasons, was busy with her own party, and was kept from seeing the king by law. The charges: "somebody better is around the corner", "show the kingdom", and "make sure you see the king", because a distant relationship with God lets others decide your destiny.

Service 3 (Judges 6:11-16) is Gideon threshing wheat in hiding. God called him "mighty man of valour" and said "go in this thy might"; the man part is real, but exploits are done with the might. He then shows that the second answer, "Surely I will be with thee", is the definition of that might: "my presence is your might." Until the Lord appeared to Gideon, Gideon did not appear to his generation, and Gideon won with pitchers, lamps and trumpets: "break the pitcher" that hides your light. He tells his secondary school story of asking the Holy Spirit to sit on his stool during exams and moving from 16th to 1st. Service 4 is the Women's Day service: a Proverbs 31 poem, a Bible quiz with spa vouchers, a "Mama Knows Best" game (Gen Z mums against baby boomers), and a short message by a woman minister (name not clear in the captions) on "The woman that fears the Lord" (Proverbs 31:30). Pastor Jerry then prays at length over every woman, mother, widow, single mother and single woman.

Words of knowledge run through all four services: cancer of the bone, a pelvic tumour, hormonal imbalance, infertility, a loved one in a coma, a compound where women do not marry, two sisters who become mentally ill whenever they are pregnant, a family where home accidents killed a mother and a brother, bacteria in the heart, a brain surgery followed by blackouts, a tumour in the eye, anaemia, and in the women's prayer breast and cervical cancer, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. He also gives timed words: a new garment "in less than 14 days", a reason to shout "in the next 24 hours", "you will not cry on Thursday morning", and an answer "before 6:00 p.m. Nigerian time tomorrow".

Testimonies are given in services 2, 3 and 4. They include healing of ascites "of no origin" before the date a woman had picked; chronic sinusitis and insomnia healed (the last at the previous Sunday's communion); a man who survived being pinned under a trailer; a new general manager job that came by phone on the day of the mercy prayer; a car that fell into a river on the way to the airport; a former First Lady (the caption reads "her excellency... Patience Goodluck Jonathan") who finished a PhD; a crossed eye and cataract gone on the day of the appointment for surgery; and a woman abroad whose job came back, whose colleagues were delivered and blessed, and who was given a car. The day closes with prayer over guests from Canada, the US, Europe and the Middle East, and the blessing: "Something big will happen this week."

Anointing oil

  • Service 1: he prays that every oil "cease to be ordinary" and become a symbol of impartation and of a new season, the oil of dominion and of a higher grace. The church pours it on their palms and puts it on their foreheads.

Testimonies played / recapped

  • Service 2, ascites (testifier's name unclear, caption "Ochair"): ascites "of no origin" since 2022 (swollen abdomen, spinal pain, difficulty breathing). Joined Streams of Joy in January 2025. When Pastor Jerry asked people to pick a day for their problem to end, she picked 15 March; she woke up symptom-free on 11 March. On 26 March she was rushed to FMC with stomach pain and a repeat scan showed no fluid at all.
  • Service 2, sinusitis and insomnia (a man): chronic sinusitis from June 2024, healed after his case was called on NSPPD in November. From 28 April 2025 he could not sleep, with panic attacks and a burning chest, even on heavy sleep medication. He stopped the drugs, came to last Sunday's communion service, felt peace at once, slept two hours that afternoon and has slept normally every night since.
  • Service 2, accident (a man): on Monday 26 May 2025 he ended up under a moving trailer after a truck crash. Remembering "the devil is traumatized by what you say", he kept saying "El Roi, the God that sees me, I will not die", and was pulled out of a tiny space strong enough to record videos.
  • Service 3, Morin: off work since March 2024 and struggling in business. On 21 May, the day of the "thunderous mercy" prayer before her birthday, an old client called from London out of the blue and made her general manager of the company's new Abuja branch, at more than twice her former salary.
  • Service 3, Glory Tommy: on 15 April, on the way to the airport, the car flipped into a fast river beside a ravine where "people don't survive". She came round declaring "I will not bury and I will not be buried"; the driver was shouting the same while unconscious. MRI and X-rays found nothing broken.
  • Service 3, a former First Lady (caption: "her excellency... Patience Goodluck Jonathan"): a born Anglican whose children brought her to Streams of Joy; she now comes every Sunday she is in town. After NCE, BSc and master's degrees she nearly declined a PhD, sat in class among students young enough to be her children, and graduated "last week". "No age limit in education." She follows the 7 a.m. prayers and asks Pastor Jerry to keep praying for Nigeria.
  • Service 4, Justina (name partly unclear, caption "Idris Justina"): a January 2020 word about a viper coming into houses came true when a viper entered her home and the family was spared. A missionary since 1986, she had suffered excessive urination for years and could not go out to minister; after five years of praying along she testifies of healing, children and an "international door" for her family (details garbled).
  • Service 4, Zainab Favor (from Sierra Leone, caption "Son" / "Seron"): after a 2021 dream her spiritual and dream life died, and deaths followed in her mother's family (grandmother, sister, uncle, cousin). Praying with NSPPD and using communion for everything, she saw her dream life return, no one die in 2024 though several were ill, and her brother's epilepsy (since 2013) reversed in September 2023. She had a crossed eye for about 25 years and a cataract risk inherited from her father. After two words that "eye surgery will not hold", the doctor on 24 March found her eyes normal, and on 25 March found no trace of cataract.
  • Service 4, Vero (caption "Bellow"): diarrhoea seven or eight times a day from October 2024, with all medication failing. On 9 January in morning prayer Pastor Jerry called "demonic diarrhea is reversed" and it stopped.
  • Service 4, E. Former (name unclear; addressed as "Miss Bagard" / "Doroth"), abroad: since 2016, every trip home was followed by losing a job, three jobs at once in 2022. During Furnace of Answers on 14 March 2023 she said amen before falling asleep; the next morning her former executive director called her back and let her name her salary. A colleague, Bobby, smoked two and a half packs a day for 36 years and was delivered after she prayed; a Caribbean colleague with four girls had a baby boy; she was given a $54,000 GMC without paying for it; a kidney infection cleared in two weeks. She sowed in person to enlarge her coast.

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

  • Service 1: an angel with a trumpet over a father's house ("declare Jubilee"); what was called dead coming back to life; a spirit of restoration; "Vashti has to go" from your crown; a new garment "in less than 14 days"; a mistake that would set someone back five years broken; a demotion reversed "in 3 days"; a spotlight on many heads; sevenfold favour. Cancer of the bone; a tumour in the pelvic region; hormonal imbalance; someone who ran out of drugs and said "Lord, I go by faith"; infertility; a compound where women do not marry; a loved one in a coma; office conspiracy turned back. "In the next 24 hours there will be a reason for you to shout for joy."
  • Service 2: a family where the older generation does better than the younger; a monster at the financial gate diverting what is coming; home accidents that killed a mother and a brother; two sisters who become mentally ill whenever they are pregnant; a suspended process of favour; "you will not wear any garment that is not your own"; "you will not cry on Thursday morning"; "may the Lord sharpen your cutting edge"; powers that make things happen later than they should: "it will happen earlier."
  • Service 3: bacteria in the heart; a surgery that affected the blood with one complication after another; a stubborn fungal infection; brain surgery followed by blackouts; a growing tumour in the eye; anaemia; rejection reversed. "Before 6:00 p.m. Nigerian time tomorrow, you will hear that the Lord has turned it in your favour"; helpers for a project within seven days; "in 1 hour, in 24 hours, there will be news of a rising."
  • Service 4 (over women): no premature death; breast cancer, cervical cancer and every tumour or disease associated with women; depression, oppression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia; marriages that will not break; children who will not be vagabonds; widows ("the Lord be your husband"), single mothers ("the God of Ruth") and singles ("the God who settles women").

Women's Day (service 4)

  • A Proverbs 31 poem, a tribute to "Pastor Dr. Anne..." (name unclear) and to Mama Eno, the first lady of Streams of Joy, a Bible quiz (correct answers won a full body spa, manicure and pedicure voucher, to be collected at the back), and the "Mama Knows Best" game show between "mama G's" (baby boomers) and Gen Z mums.
  • The woman minister recalls that during COVID Pastor Jerry refused to pray once a week and said "I will pray every day", in tears, and that the altar "is still rolling".
  • Guests from outside Nigeria came out for prayer: Toronto, Winnipeg (Manitoba), Florida, Austria, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Coventry (UK) and others. Several asked for Streams of Joy branches; he says "When you say these things, I go to work" and suggests Toronto might be central for Canada.

Important message

  1. Step out. Dominion that is never exercised is the same as mediocrity; every release of power in scripture became manifestation only when a man (Peter, John, Esther) stepped out.
  2. What you are full of decides whether Jordan keeps you down. Stay full of the Holy Ghost, and you will have no appetite for what the devil offers. "The appetite of a man determines his destiny."
  3. Bread is only an addition. "Bread or no bread, the life of God sustains my inner man": you are already fine before provision arrives.
  4. When God blesses you, keep worshipping the one who brought it, not what he brought. Whatever gets more attention than God is what you are worshipping.
  5. The word does not profit when it is mixed with the wrong mindset; the devil quoted true scripture for the wrong situation.
  6. Understand times and seasons. Vashti lost her throne in a conversation she never heard about because she did not discern the season. "It's not every season you assert your rights."
  7. Somebody better is always around the corner, so be diligent: no shabby work, no delays.
  8. You are wired to show the kingdom. Wherever you are, demonstrate it; do not let people spend an hour with you and not know who you are.
  9. See the King. The devil fights your prayer life because "one moment with the King" changes you, and a distant relationship with God lets others decide your destiny. Suspend your own party when the King calls.
  10. You are a mighty man (or woman) of valour. The man part is real, but exploits are done in the might, and the might is his presence: "Surely I will be with thee." Until the Lord appears to you, you will not appear to your generation.
  11. Break the pitcher: the lies you believed, how you were raised, past mistakes and "the counsel of expired prophets" cover your light. The appearing of light announces a change of season.
  12. (Women's Day) The highest beauty is reverence for God: decisions made through the lens of scripture, forgiveness, humility, prayer, honour at home. Women are gates and spiritual gatekeepers, and one child can move from average to greatness through a mother who understands.
