ARISE AND SHINE SERVICE [SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR FAMILIES]

The Sunday ran as four services under one theme, "Arise and shine", with special prayers for families. Each service opened in worship, spoke the week's declarations over Monday to Saturday ("As a family we arise, we shine, our light has come"), then moved into a long block of family prayer before the word. Pastor Jerry prayed against patterns in bloodlines: delay, rising and falling, "only one person will be the light of the family", exchanged glory, generational curses, wrong foundations and household witchcraft. He called people to the altar who wanted change in their family, gave the family a new name ("a people the Lord has fought for"), and raised the banner of the blood of Jesus over households. Words of knowledge were given in every service.

Each service had its own sermon, built on light. In the first, from Isaiah 60:1-7 and Matthew 5:14-16, he taught that "your light is not your light; your light is the glory of the Lord". Like something translucent, the believer only has to arise and position himself so God's glory shines through. The level of your beholding decides the level of your shining ("more beholding, more glory"). A light can end up in the house, the city or the world, it must not be covered by a bushel, and it needs a candlestick, a platform. The second and third services took Matthew 25:1-13. The second, "I am still shining", said the wise virgins also slept but their lamps were still burning: a fall does not cancel the light. Watching means seeing ahead and carrying extra oil before the crisis, and olive oil comes only from squeezing: "I was squeezed for my oil." The day's charge came here: "We will not use our oil to service foolishness." The third service named attacks against shining from the foolish virgins. The instruction at midnight was "go out to meet him", not "bring your light"; they disqualified themselves, listened to the wrong voices, went back, and found an open door shut.

The fourth service turned to 2 Kings 9:1-10 and 1 Kings 19:16. The word to anoint Jehu passed from Elijah to Elisha and was finally carried by a nameless son of the prophets whom the captains called "this mad fellow". Heaven and earth pass away but the word does not. God may "create chaos that will favor you". Jehu had to be made to arise from among his brethren, taken into an inner chamber, and anointed on his knees: "you went in a captain, you come out a king". He warned that there is oil for some people who are "too tall to be anointed".

Testimonies were played in services two to four. They included a woman whose Lagos to Abuja flight was struck by lightning, a doctor whose curved spine (scoliosis) was straight on a repeat X-ray, a woman whose relative's house fire was averted, and a coma patient discharged after an altar vow. Each service closed with offering, announcements about the week's fast "And the Most High Showed Up", a welcome and prayer for first timers and new members, the Psalm 91 confession, and a charge to walk up to people and shout "I am shining".

• Monday: unveiling of a new season, "Shake it off Monday", Operation Season of the New Wine, Operation Break Out of Confinement. Special prophetic prayers for those trapped between two seasons; prayers over males and females in the family; prayers for people starting something new (idea stage or already started); territorial prayers over nations.
• Bring a flag or any symbol of your nation, and two sheets of paper: one describing what your new season looks like, one listing stubborn challenges and stumbling blocks against it.
• "Please don't watch later": join in real time.

Next Sunday

• 25 May 2025: "And the Lord Reversed It, It Did Not Happen Again", a healing and deliverance service in all four services. Bring people with stubborn challenges.

Salvation

• End of the second sermon: "Lord Jesus, come into my life. Come and be my Lord and personal Saviour. Forgive me my sins, cleanse me, sanctify me, and make me pure and whole again. Father, today I decree I will not use my oil to service foolishness." Disciples are pointed to the discipleship class.

Offering

• Offering, tithe and partnership raised as a wave offering in each service. Declarations: the devourer rebuked, windows of heaven open; "may this week be a week of great financial release". Some were told to sow a seed for "a candlestick", a platform.

Testimonies played / recapped

• Flight struck by lightning: a woman flying Lagos to Abuja the day before felt uneasy, prayed the O Earth prayer at her seat. Five minutes after take-off the plane was struck by lightning; 25 minutes of turbulence; the plane turned back, took 20 minutes to land in Lagos. She and four colleagues from her department arrived safely on another aircraft. Pastor Jerry: "A closed mouth is a closed destiny."
• Court cases, father, wife (one man, three testimonies): two younger siblings had cases with the authorities since 2023. He printed the court papers, brought them to the altar and laid communion on them. His sister won in Q2 2024 with damages; his brother won two weeks ago with damages. His father, over 70, was repeatedly admitted for passing blood, with an inheritance dispute behind it; tests found nothing, he received four pints of blood and was discharged well. His wife had postpartum depression after each child and in December 2023 was told she would be on psychiatric drugs for life (over 100k naira monthly). On 19 May 2024 (second service, overflow) Pastor Jerry said the healing power of God was coming on a wife taking drugs for the mentally ill. She has taken no such medication since.
• Preferred candidate, husband: a woman with a pattern of wrong men was left pregnant and alone. A friend kept sending NSPPD links. In September 2022 Pastor Jerry declared all month "you will be the preferred candidate"; her job offer email subject was "You are the preferred candidate". She moved from Maiduguri to Abuja with her son. At an O Earth prayer she declared "this land shall bless me". A close friend proposed in May 2024; they married in February 2025. His family welcomed her son, and three months before the wedding she got an offer in the same organisation at three times her salary.
• Favor from Asaba (third service): she lent a boyfriend 12 million naira; he refused to repay and threatened to kidnap her daughter. A word said someone you did good wants to repay with evil. The Holy Spirit woke her to pray against kidnappers; the next morning she learned he had been kidnapped and his family suspected her. She left a life in Russia, came home with nothing in November 2024, was lodged on her twin sister's card, and received gifts while serving at the crossover service. A friend from Russia became her destiny helper: 450,000 naira to live on, 1 million for a shop, 4 million to start the business, then 500,000 a month. A long stomach pain and anger issue are gone. On her birthday (5 August) a word said "that journey you started with joy you will not end with bitter tears". Her 12-year-old daughter, struggling at school, is now doing very well.
• Scoliosis healed: a doctor whose brother passed his MBBS exam after about eight years of trying. She had back pain and on 3 July 2024 an X-ray showed curvature of the thoracic and lumbar spine. She declined a 170,000 naira thoracic corset to "walk by faith". A word said "you have been asking El Roi, does He still see you"; another said "if your faith cannot carry you, let my faith carry you"; on 27 January 2025 "scoliosis, be reversed". After the Nigeria prayer conference a repeat X-ray was normal, and the original hospital found no scoliosis.
• Fire averted (fourth service, Chimkuku as captioned): dreamt her family house in Lagos was on fire; on the first Sunday of May (fourth service) a word cancelled fire outbreaks. Her own gas flame went out in the wind with the regulator open, yet the hose had come off the cylinder so no gas leaked. Her aunt fell asleep with a pot of herbs on the stove from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.; the water dried up but nothing burned beside the cabinet and plastic board.
• Marriage and provision: a man, third son of four, the only one married (court, traditional and white wedding); once slept in a kitchen, now drives cars worth millions and has contracts running into millions.
• Coma patient discharged: on 5 March a woman brought the printed picture of a colleague's sister, in a coma after an accident that killed her husband, and vowed to dance if she recovered. She had "Oh Lord Show Me Mercy" played by the bed. The woman was discharged last month; the testifier danced as promised.

Words of knowledge / healing declarations

• First service: no sound of sudden death around you; "your son will walk today", no power of hell keeps that boy in paralysis; sharp pain that tightens the heart, reversed; "hydrophilos" (likely hydrocephalus), "fure" and "youropat" (uncertain, possibly fibroid and neuropathy or uropathy) reversed; destiny traded through sexual intercourse reversed; a family member's picture urinated on, reversed; right eye losing sight, reversed; keys dropping: unlock career, helpers, marital door; relationships hijacked by the enemy restored; a negative voice in the ear of your helper reversed; families where things always come late or go wrong just before celebration; "If God is on this altar, it will not be up to 20 days."
• Second service: womb that "came together" (closed) reversed; two lumps in both breasts; hemorrhoids now called cancer of the rectum; two male family members near death; powers that say "you will see it but not carry it"; in seven days the Lord shocks the mockers of your family; in three days what your family waited for becomes evidence.
• Third service: the person told to go for heart surgery; focal epilepsy; eye muscles getting weaker; kidney damage reversed; addiction broken; a sibling "put under a stone" who has forgotten the family; destiny demotion making family members dwarfs; a head due for a crown, in 30 days; a marine spirit that attacked your mother and monitors you; the voice saying you will die in your forties; your family will sing a new song in seven days; the God of vengeance against hidden battles within seven days.
• Fourth service: dreams of coffins reversed; a child of 11 with sudden seizures; a woman who left a diabolic fiancé and was told "you will never marry", six years ago, the word broken; in the transition to a new season you will not be demoted; no attack will drag you back to what you renounced.

1. Your light is not yours. Isaiah 60 says your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you; you are translucent, and God shines through you. The mandate is to arise, to position yourself.
2. Light was set in the firmament, meant for the world, not a corner. Refuse to be "a star on the ground", refuse to be covered, and expect God to give your light a candlestick, a platform.
3. The level of your beholding determines the level of your shining. Whoever fights your beholding fights your glory: "more beholding, more glory", from glory to glory, so you will never have a better yesterday.
4. Shining is measured by good works that are so clearly beyond you that people glorify the Father. Light exists for signs and seasons, so where you show up the season must change.
5. A fall does not put out your light. The wise virgins slept too, but their lamps were burning. Even if the righteous falls seven times he rises again: "I am still shining."
6. Watching means seeing before the crisis and carrying extra oil now: prayers you do not yet need, people God has placed in your life for a later season.
7. Oil comes from squeezing. Seasons that pressed your finances, relationships, strength and expectations were God bringing out an oil that is "not common, not cheap, for nations". People see your scars; heaven sees your oil.
8. Do not use your oil to service foolishness: not sin, wrong relationships, depression or waste.
9. In a transition season the command is "go out to meet him", not "bring your light". Stop looking for qualifications He never asked for, stop listening to people who did not call you, and never go back. He is your light.
10. Open doors can close. Discern why God opened a door and behave well in front of it, as Joseph did.
11. The word over your life will not fail even if every human vessel does. God may use something that looks chaotic, or someone without a name, to carry your oil.
12. Arise from among the brethren you have outgrown, keep an inner chamber, and keep the posture of your knees on the ground. You go in a captain and come out a king, but the oil cannot find a head that is too tall.

• If you want change in your family, come to the altar (overflow: go to the screen; online: put your hand on your device) and declare "there must be a change". Call your family's name in prayer.
• Call your own name and declare: "Arise, shine, your light has come", "I refuse to be a star on the ground", "This light cannot be covered", "I am still shining", "I will not use my oil to service foolishness", "I get up".
• Pray "My father, I will never have a better yesterday"; behold more: stay on the altar every morning, read the Word, pray in tongues.
• Speak in tongues like a watchman; pray prayers ahead of time even when you have no problem.
• In a transition season, go: stop waiting to feel qualified, and do not go back.
• Build an inner chamber before meetings and decisions; stay on your knees in posture and heart.
• Testify: one testifier was praised for opening her mouth to pray rather than keeping quiet in danger.
• Give offering, tithe and partnership; support the church building project.
• First timers fill and return the usher's form; new members stand for prayer.
• Walk up to people and shout "I am shining" / "glory" (7 or 14 people, by service).
