SPECIAL NEW MONTH PRAYERS [5 DAYS OF GREAT & MIGHTY WORKS OF EL-ROI - DAY 4] | NSPPD | 1ST MAY 2025

The service opens with worship on Hebrews 11:6 ("We know you are a rewarder of those who diligently seek your face... with you nothing is impossible") and the chorus "What you cannot do does not exist." Pastor Jerry then recounts two wonders from the 7am prayers three weeks earlier. A word of knowledge told someone beside a woman confirmed clinically dead to turn up the phone volume and lay it beside her; when the prayers ended nothing happened and the daughter doubted, but five minutes later the mother came back to life. A second woman, whose husband had brain cancer surgery and was told he would stay unconscious for six months and might never walk, answered the doctor, "What God cannot do does not exist", called her husband's name in the ICU hours after surgery, and he opened his eyes; when staff removed the window blinds to move the stretcher out, he stood up on his own feet. "We are in a season of a revival of the strange acts of God."

Because this is 1 May, the day turns into new month prayers. May is the fifth month, "the number of grace", so the congregation shouts "Grace" over each of its 31 days. Pastor Jerry declares "this is your May of answered prayers", announces 31 days of wonders, miracles, outpouring, power, glory, higher ground, direction and holiness, and draws a bloodline that delay, shame, stagnation, affliction and calamity "will not cross over" into May. Songs and declarations on "Through our God we shall do valiantly", "The Lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed", Zechariah's mountain made a plain, "The Lord will multiply me, I will not be few", and "The glory of the latter house shall be greater" carry the prayer.

The central declaration builds on John 12:28: the people cry "Father, glorify your name" seven times and the pastor answers, "I have both glorified it and I will glorify it again." They declare "I didn't just enter a new month, I entered a new season" (laughter, growth, celebration, turnaround, heavy rain of joy and increase), pray that doors and marketplaces in the four corners of the earth open "in less than seven days", that the grave will not receive their bodies or their loved ones in these 31 days, and that no new battle, infection or conspiracy enters the new month, because "no one puts new wine into old wineskins." Seven sounds of thanksgiving are released over seven areas of life, and the prophetic word for the month is given: "Many testimonies in May", "whether the devil likes it or not."

The congregation kneels with a seed of thanksgiving and names three things God will do in May; a minister decrees that "it is raining testimony on the right, on the left, in the front, at the back." Recorded testimonies follow (a UK single mother married on her birthday, a Californian healed of interstitial cystitis, a Lagos mother of a baby after six stillbirths, and a Ugandan man given six months with stage 4 lung cancer, who came in person to Abuja almost three years later). Pastor Jerry marvels that he still cannot pronounce the disease he called out, "to show that it is the finger of God", and that six stillbirths "can never be the will of God."

The close is the salvation prayer, a three-part communion ending in the "communion of answers", announcements (WhatsApp healing channel, testimony number, the America conference), two short words from visiting ministers ("May has no option but to deliver testimony"), Psalm 91 and seven congratulations.

Testimonies played / recapped

• Dead mother revived (recap, three weeks ago): word of knowledge during the 7am prayers about someone beside a dead woman; the daughter turned up the phone volume beside her mother, confirmed clinically dead hours earlier. Nothing happened when prayers ended; five minutes later she came back to life.
• Brain cancer surgery (recap): surgeons could not avoid sensitive areas and said the husband would be unconscious six months and might never walk. The wife said "What God cannot do does not exist", the doctor asked the brother-in-law to warn her, and hours later she called his name in the ICU and he opened his eyes. While staff removed window blinds to move his stretcher, he stood up.
• Prince R. (name uncertain, "Prince R Hale Lima Tom"), UK: single mother of two. Put on the altar a date, 10 April, for the Home Office to approve her documents despite a status that does not normally allow release within 28 days; approved on 10 April. Had written she would marry on or before her birthday before meeting her husband; recorded on her birthday and wedding day. "Single moms, single dads: God gave us a second chance to love again."
• Chinaya, California: joined NSPPD September 2023. Recurrent UTI turned chronic in March 2024, diagnosed as interstitial cystitis, on antibiotics all of 2024, which also stalled plans for a baby. On 23 December 2024 (5 Days of the Wonders of El-Roi), about 1 hour 3 minutes in, Pastor Jerry called "interstitial cystitis." No UTI since, off antibiotics, recorded 24 April.
• Kelly, Lagos: six stillbirths in nine years of marriage; ignored a friend's links until 2024. Held on to "What you are afraid of will not happen." On 8 July the word came: "Six children have died in your womb... let it be reversed." Carried the pregnancy to term and showed her "NSPPD baby."
• Robert (caption "Ba Robert" / "Gala Robert"), Kampala, Uganda: diagnosed in India in 2022 with stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma spread to brain, liver, prostate and other organs; given six months to a year and sent home on palliative care. Heard about the altar of fire in Nairobi, prayed every morning; a rotten, pus-filled hand healed within three days. Pastor Jerry called "cancer of the lungs, be reversed" several times. New head-to-toe PET scan in India: no cancer in the brain or left lung, cleared to drive and live normally. Almost three years later he and his wife came straight from the airport to the Abuja service.

1. What God cannot do does not exist. Doctors' timelines (six months to live, six months unconscious, never walk) are not the final say; "Jehovah has the final say."

3. Faith is now, not tomorrow; God still moves "while he was yet speaking."
4. May is a month of grace and answered prayers, and its word is "Many testimonies in May": not one testimony where only one is expected, but many, more than you can ask or imagine.
