OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY // [THE WONDERS OF EL-ROI - DAY 3]

Day 3 of the five-day "Wonders of El-Roi" week was the Wednesday mercy altar. Worship opened on Hebrews 11:6 ("we know you are the rewarder of those who diligently seek your face") and the week's refrain, "What you cannot do does not exist." Pastor Jerry then told two testimonies from earlier morning prayers. Three weeks before, a word of knowledge told someone sitting beside a woman just confirmed clinically dead to turn up the phone and lay it beside her. The prayer ended and nothing happened, the daughter felt God had disappointed them, and five minutes later the mother came back to life. In the second, a woman's husband had surgery for brain cancer and the doctor said he would be unconscious for six months and might never walk. She answered, "What God cannot do does not exist," went to the ICU a few hours after the surgery and called his name, and he opened his eyes. Later, while staff were taking out the window blinds because the stretcher would not fit through the door, he stood up on his feet.

The prayer itself was the Wednesday cry: "Oh Lord, show me mercy." He led the altar to El-Roi, "the God that sees me, the God that knows where I am, the God that knows where I'm going to," through Asa's prayer ("it is nothing for you to help, whether with many or with them that have no power... do not allow man to prevail"), coming boldly to the throne of grace, Psalm 3 ("lift my head again" from cancer, disappointment, shame, addiction, spiritual laziness), and Peter sinking in the water ("Don't let me drown"). A long passage named Him "the God of our journey": Jacob returning across the Jordan, Job's "He knows the way that I take", the man at the pool, Hagar's well, the man on the Jericho road, the widow of Nain, the woman with the alabaster jar, and the woman caught in adultery.

From there he prayed for mercy to close chapters of stagnation and retrogression and open new ones, over terminal disease, people stranded in a transition season, battles bigger than they are, and guilt and shame. He asked for "an evidence" from Psalm 86:17: evidence of healing, of remembrance, of open doors, of forgiveness. "The conclusion of man can never be the verdict of God." Words of knowledge followed, each closed with "If you are the one, put it on the live stream. By the mercies of God, let it be reversed": a lung transplant with complications, triplets with two lagging behind in a high-risk pregnancy, growths blocking spinal fluid in three places, two kidney bags, paralysis of the tongue, and others.

He then had Pastor K declare over the altar (the hand of the Lord glorified, mountains brought to level ground, evil reports turned around), and himself declared that "days of great mercy are here," followed by a run of "to the wonders of El-Roi" prophetic declarations and the instructions for Thursday. The people were sent to their knees to thank God for three things as though they were already done, with their seed in hand. The day's confession was "The Lord has shown me great mercy."

The video testimonies covered prostate cancer reversed in a brother in Los Angeles, nerve damage healed in the DJ shot in South Africa, and a woman whose colon cancer was gone at surgery. Then came salvation, three communions, the testimony and social announcements, and short reflections from Pastor K and a second pastor on how mercy "yanks back" even skeptics who are about to log off. The service closed with Psalm 91 and seven rounds of "Congratulations."

Testimonies played / recapped

• Dead mother revived (recap, three weeks ago): in the middle of 7 am prayers, a word told someone beside a dead woman to turn up the phone volume and lay it beside her. The mother had been clinically confirmed dead hours earlier. Nothing happened when the prayer ended and the daughter questioned God, but five minutes later the mother came back to life.
• Brain surgery husband (recap): after an operation for brain cancer the doctor said the husband would not wake for six months and might never walk. The wife kept saying "what God cannot do does not exist", which made the doctor ask the brother-in-law to warn her about her behaviour. Hours later in the ICU she called his name and he opened his eyes. When staff took out the window blinds to get the stretcher through, because the door was too narrow, he stood up. Experts had said he would not stand for a year.
• Charles and his younger sibling, Los Angeles, USA (names unclear in captions, "Charles Elu and Aichi Elumu"): the sibling has been on NSPPD for five years and is a member of Streams of Joy Abuja. Charles had an enlarged prostate in 2022, then a biopsy, and was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2023. He only used to watch the testimonies at the end, but became a committed NSPPDian in October 2023 and put his report on the fire altar. That month he dreamed of Pastor Jerry, who told him to keep asking God about his three prayer points. Three months later his PSA had fallen from over 12 to 0.8, and an oncologist's retest stayed in that range.
• DJ Big (caption "Chukuno Aduo"), recorded 7 April 2025: robbed and shot through the leg with an assault rifle in South Africa on 12 January; the bullet missed the artery and veins. Back in Nigeria from 22 January he had shingles on his face, then postherpetic neuralgia, occipital neuralgia and polyneuropathy: burning, electric shocks, numbness, and he could not let his head touch anything. Pregabalin made him hallucinate, and support groups told him 18 months to 6 years. On 19 March DJ Neptune sent him the link. As he was about to log off he heard "nerve damage... let it be reversed" and claimed it. At the neurologist that Tuesday he had no pain for the first time in three months, and he had un-cancelled his birthday.
• Gina (testifying from the US, "a partaker of the anniversary cake"): in 2023 she was found with a cyst on a fallopian tube, a fibroid and colon polyps. In 2024 a tumour was found and a breast mass sent for mammogram, which came back benign. Lymphoma was then suspected from an enlarged lymph node; three days before the CT the altar declared "lymphoma reversed", and the scan was clear. A word came about colon cancer, and at surgery the doctor found no cancer anywhere. He called her name three times to tell her. Pastor Jerry added that the devil kept "moving" it (colon, liver, breast, lymph nodes) and in the end "nothing was found."

1. We are in a revival of the strange acts of God. What God cannot do does not exist, and the testimonies of a dead mother and a husband after brain surgery show it.
2. A delay is not a denial. Five minutes after it looked like God had failed, the mother came back. Faith speaks "now" and stands against the expert's report.
3. Mercy is the ground we stand on. God knows we are dust, and the High Priest is touched by our weakness. We do not plead what we deserve; we run boldly to the throne of grace.
4. El-Roi is the God of our journey. He sees exactly where each person is, at the pool, on the Jericho road, on the way to a burial, and He meets them there.
5. "The conclusion of man can never be the verdict of God." Mercy closes chapters of stagnation and retrogression and opens new ones. It rewrites what looked like the end of the road and will not let the enemy meet you where they left you.
6. God gives a token for good, an evidence that those who hate you can see: healing, remembrance, open doors, forgiveness, affliction not rising a second time.
7. He who authored your story will not let the devil finish it. He who brought you this far will not abandon you on the way.
8. The days of great mercy are here, and when mercy moves "things will happen so fast your head will swim."
9. Mercy reaches even skeptics who are about to log off (Pastor K's reflection). What we declare prophetically, God backs up, so when we declare great mercy, great mercy shows up.
