I AM IN MY NEW/IT IS MY TIME AND MY TURN [NSPPD WEEK - DAY 1]

Day 1 of the NSPPD fifth anniversary week opened with the song "We know You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek Your face... what You cannot do does not exist." Pastor Jerry began with two recent wonders from the altar. Three weeks earlier, a word of knowledge told someone sitting beside a woman just confirmed clinically dead to turn up the phone volume and place it beside her. When the prayer ended nothing happened and the daughter felt God had disappointed her, but five minutes later the mother came back to life. A second woman, whose husband had brain cancer surgery and was told he would stay unconscious for six months and might never walk, answered the doctor: "What God cannot do does not exist." Hours later she called his name in the ICU, he opened his eyes, and while staff were removing the window blinds to move his stretcher out, he stood up on his feet. The pastor called it "a season of a revival of the strange acts of God."

The prayer theme was "I am in my new / It is my time and my turn." He walked through people whose time came without warning: Mary, who did not pray for a visitation; Zacharias, met by Gabriel during his routine temple duty; the lame man at the Beautiful gate, who met Peter and John "at the time of prayer"; the disciples at Pentecost. Then he turned to Revelation 12, the dragon waiting to devour the child, and declared fire on every dragon that has vowed to swallow the congregation's evidence in this anniversary season. From Saul's journey in 1 Samuel 10 he prophesied "good news in the place of pain" (two men at Rachel's tomb saying the lost donkeys are found), then an addition (two becomes three), then a multitude that breaks mathematical progression.

The middle of the service was warfare and release. With hands on the ground the congregation declared that the earth will not receive their bodies or those of their loved ones "until I say so," with "no obituary." From Zechariah 3 he commanded delay, denial, limitation and prayerlessness standing beside people to be rebuked, and said those released "must testify in seven days." From Elijah in the cave he asked, "What are you doing in the cave?" and called careers, children, businesses, emotions and glory out of hiding. Over the written requests and downloaded pictures lifted up, he prophesied the breath of God as in Ezekiel 37.

Words of knowledge followed: relapsing polychondritis, a syndrome (caption "man syndrome"), kidney disease, tuberculosis in the liver, dying cells in the jaw, a family told by a prophet that their mother is a witch (the Lord said she is not), and a father and two children who lost the use of their right hands. He announced the week's operations, asked for a seed of thanksgiving, and said there would be creative miracles tomorrow.

Testimonies played included a nine-year marital wait ending in marriage, a boy taken out of an autism programme, a UK father-in-law cleared of prostate cancer, and an Abuja man who survived armed robbers while declaring "the earth cannot receive my body." The service closed with the salvation prayer, three communions, the Zambia conference announcement, a word from Pastor K, the Psalm 91 declaration and seven rounds of "congratulations."

• Prostate cancer cleared: John from the United Kingdom, for his father-in-law, diagnosed in January 2024 and unable to have surgery. They held to the declaration "go back and check, what they saw before they will not see again." A six-month check showed it seemed gone; January 2025 confirmed it cleared, PSA down to 0.3.
• Armed robbery survived: a man in Garki Area 11, Abuja (caption "Gary key area 11"), had prayed the "earth will not receive my body" declaration and the head-of-family prayer. Leaving an ice cream shop, he was surrounded by armed robbers, hit with a pistol on the elbow, and one shouted "shoot this man," but the gunman only fired in the air. He lay on the ground declaring "What God cannot do does not exist... I will not die," stood up alive, and police took him to the station and then hospital. The pastor: the God who blocks their eyes and confuses the situation.
