OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY

Day 3 of the "Early Answers" week, inside the 21-day fast that opens 2025. Worship opens with "He who comes to God must believe that He is, and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" and the refrain "what You cannot do does not exist". Pastor Jerry then recounts two wonders from three weeks earlier. During the 7am prayer, the Spirit told him someone was beside a dead woman and should turn up the phone volume and lay it beside her. The daughter did so for a mother doctors had confirmed clinically dead; when the prayer ended nothing happened and she felt God had disappointed her, but five minutes later the mother came back to life. In the same season a wife whose husband had brain cancer surgery was told he would stay unconscious for six months and might never walk. She answered the doctor, "What God cannot do does not exist", called his name in the ICU and he opened his eyes; while staff were removing a window to get his stretcher out to the ward, he stood up on his feet. "We are in a season of a revival of the strange acts of God."

The prayer theme is mercy. The day's cry: "Oh Lord, show me mercy." He prays to Elroi, "the God that sees me", through a chain of mercy scriptures: "Satisfy us early with Your mercy"; "Let my journey be all about Your mercy, not by my labour, not by my strength"; "To Him that made great lights, His mercy endures forever: where there is mercy there is light"; "Your mercies are new every morning: don't leave me the way I am, let everything be made new again"; "Where there is mercy there is multiplication", from Jacob crossing the Jordan with only a staff and returning as two bands. He prays over the weary ("some are stuck with a medical report, some with career confusion"), for hands and heads to be raised again, for people not to sink as Peter was lifted, and that 2025 will not be a year of labour with nothing to show for it, because "mercy rejoices over judgment".

Words of knowledge follow, each with "If you are the one, put it on the live stream, the devil is a liar, let it be reversed": fractured bones sealing, people in coma coming out, a woman who buried two children last year with another now very sick, two children in a fire burn, a patient whose transfusions went from one a month to almost three a week, leukemia, and appointments with death cancelled. After a ten-second share break, everyone kneels with whatever they want mercy on placed beside their device. Pastor G declares for mercy (Exodus 34:6, the widow of Nain's son raised unasked, Psalm 102:13) and Pastor Jerry prays: "It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of You that shows mercy." He decrees that pain, shame, delay and frustration from past years turn into miracles: "Wipe your tears, mercy has gone ahead."

He then releases the word for tomorrow, a highly prophetic special healing and deliverance service, and calls for a seed of thanksgiving under the declaration "instant great mercy", after Lot's "You have shown me great mercy". He adds what the Lord told him last night: by reason of this prayer, strange miraculous works of God will be evident in people's lives within three days.

Three video testimonies are played: a Bonny Island couple whose four-year-old son's scrotal swelling and the husband's recurring discharge were healed, a man healed of gastric cancer after a friend stood in the gap, and a London woman who woke from a 2.5-month induced coma after doctors told her family to prepare for her funeral. Pastor Jerry draws out "faith in action" from the mother who flew to Abuja that same night, declares "enough is enough" over every plague, and leads the salvation prayer. The service closes with three communions, the Lagos conference announcement, thanks from Pastor K and another minister, Psalm 91 and seven congratulations.

Testimonies played / recapped

• Mother revived (recapped, three weeks earlier): word of knowledge at the 7am prayer about someone beside a dead woman; the daughter turned up the volume beside her mother, confirmed clinically dead hours earlier. Nothing happened at the end of the prayer; five minutes later the mother came back to life.
• Brain cancer husband (recapped): after surgery doctors said he would be unconscious for six months and might never walk. The wife said "What God cannot do does not exist", called his name in the ICU and he responded; when staff removed a window because the door would not take the stretcher, he stood up.
• Bonny Island, Rivers State (couple, names unclear in captions): wife on the altar since 2021, husband joined intentionally on 3 January 2024. From November-December 2023 he had a discharge diagnosed as staph that treatment did not stop. Their four-year-old second son had a third swelling in the scrotal sac, confirmed by two doctors as a hernia needing urgent surgery, with a warning about future fertility. After a word on 21 August and another about "swelling in the scrotal sac", they applied communion; the father felt the swelling go down "like air squeezed out of a balloon". Both doctors later found nothing. The father asked God for a word on STDs, heard it that same morning, took communion for a week and the discharge never returned.
• Gastric cancer: a man near death in hospital. A friend, Sister Nina, posted his case to the Streams of Joy page and wrote his name during the January 2024 fast; a GoFundMe was opened. Pastor Jerry called out gastric cancer, the video reached him in hospital, his hope rose, and he is now alive and well.
• London coma (woman, possibly "Tammy"): on 18 September 2023, bathing her 16-week-old baby, she was struck by severe pain; her lungs filled with fluid, she was put into an induced coma for about 2.5 months and her organs began shutting down. Given 2% survival, the family was told to prepare for a funeral. Her mother flew from London to Abuja that night, prayed and sowed at the altar and vowed she would return to testify. That day a specialist hospital bed was found, and she was awake when her mother returned. She dreamt of Pastor Jerry and her mother saying "enough" before a wall of fire. Told she would need two years to walk and talk, she walked into her daughter's first birthday in April. NSPPD audio played round the clock in the ward, and her mother allowed no visitors to mourn.

3. Where there is mercy there is light, newness and multiplication. Jacob's single staff became a multitude, and no one is left the way they were.
4. Mercy rejoices over judgment. Judgments of delay, stagnation, shame and old cycles are swallowed and reversed.
5. The God who sees knows the weary, the medically stuck and the confused, and His hand lifts those who are sinking.
6. Faith acts now. The wife who called her husband's name and the mother who flew to the altar show faith in action, and no anointed person should be a messenger of bad news.
7. Do not treat any day of the 21 days as one to "watch later": any morning could be your day of encounter.
